✨2009 vs 2019.✨ I was still married in 2009 and struggling a lot with my identity. The picture on the left was from one of the many times I would sneak away to be myself. I always felt shame and guilt for those moments but it was becoming very difficult to suppress who I was. I dreamed of one day having the courage and freedom to live my truth but never believed it would actually happen. . Now, 10 years later, I struggle to remember what life was like before I transitioned. The true happiness I have found by living my life authentically has caused me to forget a lot of what life was like before (that may also be due to old ish age but who’s counting…not me anymore 😝.) .
