Sirius Black - reimagined
Remus / James / Peter / Lily
{ meddlesome minx }
âOh, donât you dare!â A huff, and a notable thump of hands on hips, Alice rolled her eyes, fighting the urge to groan. Itâs a look sheâd fallen for a million times.
âStay,â she commanded, and then, âtalk.âÂ
He had rather hoped their little interaction would have run its course by now. Especially as he had a particularly hungry Niffler rooting around in his pocket and he was rather concerned all of the excitement of the escape might lead to it having a little accident.
Anyone who had attended so much as an hour of Care of Magical Creatures knew how pungent Niffler urine could be. â Canât, Iâm afraid. Have   to be poddling off to   see a man about a   Hippogriff. â
{ little arse }
âYeah, well. Youâre a dick.â
It was a lame comeback, and Micah was very aware of that, but he was also very aware of the fact that Sirius Black got away with everything â including, and not limited, to abandoning his own brother â and he wasnât about to continue that trend.
â This is true, â
Sirius did not seem in the least bit insulted by the statement, head tilting to the side as he studied the younger male before him.
â But I am curious as to what   led you to draw this conclusion   as this is, to my knowledge, our   very first social interaction beyond   a passing comment, here or there. â He hadnât shagged Amelia, nor anyone in Micahâs direct social circle. At least, not to his recollection. Nor had he pranked any of his friends.
Then quite suddenly it hit him, like a bucket of water to the face that turned his blood to ice. â This is...about Reggie, isnât it? âÂ
{ izzy }
âYES, but you can still c h o k e. Not to mention it is a hideous side of you. No one fancies a slobbering dog.â
â I suppose choking is a good  enough reason to slow down...  although I have never had any  complaints about my conduct  previously  ( only that there  wasnât enough of it ) â
pausing, he offered the cone to her. â fancy a lick? â

lost boys ; april 14th 1976 ; James & Sirius
{ potter }
James never gave up without a fight, James never gave up period, and the fact that Sirius was ready to give without anything that resembled a fight had him clenching his fists all over again. âYou donât know that! Merlin â youâre not even willing to try, are you?â Here James attempted a poor and dramatic mimicry of Siriusâs accent. â âI donât deserve your forgiveness.â Is that not for me to decide ya twat? Itâs my forgiveness after all.â Sirius didnât get to decide this. It was Sirius who caused it all to happen, it was Sirius who caused all of the destruction, Sirius didnât get to decide how they tried to fix it too!
But Sirius was turning away and James snarled out of sheer frustration, before opening up the passageway. With quick, sharp movements, he grabbed Siriusâs elbow and shoved him into the passageway before jumping in after him, shutting the passageway behind him. Muttering an angry lumos, he set his wand in the corner to light up the dark passageway. Glaring at Sirius, James crossed his arms. âWeâre not leaving here until we settle this.â Until weâre friends again. âYour places to be arenât important. What places do you have to go to anyway? The bloody kitchens? Because apparently youâre living there now according to Remus.â James didnât know where to begin. There were many things he wanted to say to Sirius ( he had a six foot long sheet of parchment to support that ), but right now he doubted Sirius wanted to hear any of them.
Sirius had spent the past six months tying himself into knots over the possibility that this meeting would never happen. In truth, he wasnât sure which side of the fence he fell on; some nights he longed for a reconciliation and others he hoped that the whole thing would fade away into nothingness. It was one of the reasons he had finally taken his parents up on their offer to attend Durmstrang. There was only so much he could take of being what felt like Hogwartâs most hated student. Although this was far from the truth and very few people seemed to have any inkling over what had happened, everyone who he had once held so dear suddenly seemed little better than ghosts to him. Even though Remus had worked ever so hard to build bridges between his friends, Sirius felt himself unworthy of his friendship and so only served to further isolate himself.
â No, because tryingâŚwhat would it achieve? We both know  you could never forgive me for what happened. Not really. â Thrusting his hands into his pockets, he pursed his lips for a moment, rubbing back and forth, back and forth until they grew sore.Â
Yelping in surprise as James manhandled him into the Room of Requirement, he yanked his arm back instinctively. The last time anyone had gotten that rough with him it had been his father, beating him to within an inch of his life.
â ItâŚit doesnât matter where my places to be are. A-And that  wasnât Remusâ place to tell you. Wasnât it you who so kindly  kicked me out of the dorms in the first place? Not that Iâd want  to go back. â I wouldnât belong now.
{ tink }
âAm I meant to believe that?â
â ... â pausing for a moment, he thought it through before nodding. â why...yes. yes you are. Iâm  your cousin, arenât I? a bloody  paragon of virtue, too. â
{ Alypaly }
âRight⌠just tell me where it is, and Iâll make sure the prefects donât know about it. Bloody hell, Sirius. Bending over backwards for you lot.â
Large, puppy dog eyes flitted up to meet hers. For one who was in the business of mischief, Sirius had a look of absolute innocence down pat.
â Iâm afraid I am of very  little help to you in this  search. â A quick  w r i g g l e . â Must be getting on! â
{ Poddy }
    â This? Oh, this is a comic book. Have you never got to see one? â
Leaning over him, Sirius poked at it with the tip of his wand, frowning a little as he studied it.
â but...the people arenât moving yet  theyâre...speaking? â looking him, his head canted. â I donât understand. â

â Regarding the Niffler that went   missing from Care of Magical   Creatures...Iâm sure I know   absolutely nothing about it! â

âWell it doesnât really exist often, does it? Only when Greta banks on my inability to say no to her so that she can dress me up and bring me out to one of these things.â
In all honestly, Emmeline had hardly recognized her reflection when Greta had finished up with her. This sort of thingâŚIt just wasnât her. Her friends fit in perfectly to the fairy tale world they built around them, but Emmeline never had it seemed. At least, it did to her.
âTrue. Though amazinglyâŚnothing bad seems to have happened yet. I am though, yes.â
âNo, it doesnât. ButâŚI meanâŚâ He is stumped, eyes running over her once more as he struggles to find the words to properly articulate everything that is running through his mind in that moment. Yet all he is able to do, in the hopes that perhaps this insanely irrational moment will pass, is clear his throat. âGreta did a wonderful job. You look  wellâŚso different. Yet still Emmeline.â Bowing low, he offered her his hand with an arched brow. âWill you dance with me?â
{ izzy }
âGOODNESS, how do you not choke on your food? Chew sweetheart, chew. I am not really interested in watching you choke this morning.â
â I will have you know that ice-cream  does not need chewing. This is,  without a doubt, the most de-bloody-  licious thing I have licked all day. â
{ deerest }
âMy precise thoughts Sir Padfoot.âÂ
At Siriusâs suggestion, James considered it with a thoughtful expression, carefully examining the pumpkin. âOh, by the way, I have a bet going on with Meadowes that Iâll be able to smash the pumpkin sans magic by midnight so as long as that archery idea doesnât require magic, Iâm willing to give it a go.â The bet, after all, said nothing about James having help, just getting the pumpkin smashed.
â So what would you suggest,   Sir Prongs? â It is rather hard to contain his excitement in that moment. Thankfully, the pumpkin has worked as a focal point for him, something to take his mind off of the ugliness of the Battle of the Keys. What should have been a triumph that gave him bragging rights beyond his wildest dreams was tainted by his brotherâs vitriol. Shaken from his train of thought by his best mateâs words, he turned to regard him with an arched brow. â Oh I see how it is. I am just a   little cog in your insidiously   wicked machinations, hmm? â
{ dear doe }
âThatâs actually not what I asked, but thank you for volunteering that information.â She stifled a laugh and shrugged. âTo be honest I prefer to go stag as well, simpler that way.â
â Well then, it would appear I   misheard you. My deepest   apologies. â Pausing for a moment, he looked her up and down, not bothering to hide the impish appraisal in his gaze.
â Come to think of it Doe...why   are you single? Surprised   someone hasnât shagged you   up by now, â
{ grump }
âWhat, are you trying that line on everyone and seeing who picks up the bait?â Micah snorts. âPathetic.â
â Not as pathetic as verbally attacking   a bloke youâve never so much as had   a conversation with. Never had you   pegged as the sort. â he bit back, rather amused by his attitude.

âI thought you were more subtle than that. Besides, canât you think of something less obvious to disrupt the event with? Perhaps youâre lacking the creativity found in abundance in Ravenclaw, though I could be persuaded to lend you some of mine.â
â Why Miss. Meadowes you sneaky dark horse!   I would never have had you pegged as a   mischief maker! â It feels as though he is looking at her for the first time, seeing a side of her he could never have imagined existing. It was certainly an appealing revelation. â Come on, love. Do share these wicked little   notions of yours. â
{ deerest }
A mock sentimental expression crossed his face, and James threw an arm around Siriusâs shoulders. âI love those moments when we are clearly of one mind.â An âemotionalâ pause. âI was literally just saying that! Itâs gotta go, right? Creepy, suspicious bastard that it is.â He eyed the jack-o-lantern with nothing but distrust. The expression faded away into excitement as he glanced back at Sirius.
âSo how dâyou want to do it?â
Looking around the room, doing his best to appear nonchalant  ( for once, doing a pretty decent job of it ) he nodded solemnly. â Yes. It does indeed. Anything that   big has got to be hiding something   of either monument interest or abject   wickedness within. Frankly, after the   year Iâve had Iâm eager to find out which. â Stroking his jaw for a moment, he considered their options, before a thought struck him. â You know...Iâve always been a dab hand   at archery...what if we shot a great hole   in it? â
