I painted this for @thefadediscordserver's Emmrich themed calendar!

It was an absolutely pleasure being paired with the amazingly talented @starfleetteddybear. She wrote a deeply heartfelt story that goes along with this. Be on the lookout!! I will reblogging her story to the moon and back.

My original idea was just "April's showers bring May's flowers", but it quickly morphed into something else. The past two years has been very rough on me, and I am not the same person I once was. I experienced a great loss, and even more hardships on top of it that I am still going through. I only truly started to process it all when Emmrich came into my life with Dragon Age: The Veilguard. To watch him be so open with his fear and grief, he taught me to accept this pain and not to let it hold me down. 'To live with grace and fervor while we may." Because this life is cruel, and most times, much shorter than we'd like.

As much as I credit Emmrich for finally clawing my way out of my grief, there's much more to it. The Fade server is honestly one of my life's greatest achievements. The community that we have made is the most supportive and welcoming I've ever been a part of, and I am so honored to host it. I may have created the server, but you all made it what it is today. Every day I watch you all with your unhinged antics and aggressive positivity, it fills me with such love and hope. This world is so much brighter with all of you in it.

No betas! Anyway, I've been on new meds since late June that took FOREVER to get accustomed to. But I'm feeling pretty good so I managed to actually finally finish this chapter! Huzzah! Next chapter will likely be a bit shorter, but hopefully less awful for our dear Celeste.

Pooling together the money you received from Finn and Silco, you manage to scrape up enough cash to finally take your car to the mechanic. After paying for the tow and expensive service fees, there's barely enough left over for groceries.

Looks like ramen and toast for a while.

You had survived on less in college. And at least now you would have your car back in working order to take you to your new job. After spending all day at the shop waiting for them to finish your car, you finally drive it home with no issues, and breathe a sigh of relief. 

You spend the rest of the night preparing for your first day at your new job, laying out your clothes and double-checking that you have everything you need. You’re so preoccupied, you manage to go the entire day without thinking of sugaring.

Or Silco.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven.
