Sigrid

“Oh I intend to, there’s just a lot of things that I want to do all at once…” she admitted, giving a little purring hum at the thought of it all. It had been hard to keep herself together, especially her ore animal side. The vampire immediately came closer when the woman took off her blazer, her pupils dilating slightly as she only sensed the others pulse point in her more visible neck. The vampire smoothed her hands up the womans arms “Well, I can make that deal…” she purred, nodding to the bartender for some shots “Though we need more…” she murmured, moving her hands to tease over her shirt buttoms, wanting more skin.

“I know what you mean,” Sigrid hummed. “I was the same way when I first came on land. There was so much to see, to try.” Of course, her first experience here hadn’t exactly been a pleasant one, but she liked to believe she had made up for it later. Noticing Hera’s eyes dilating, she couldn’t help but tilt her head slightly to the side to expose her neck just a little bit more. Enough to tease her. “Oh? You’re a greedy little thing,” she chuckled. “But I suppose body shots are decisively more fun the more skin is exposed.” She wasn’t enough of an exhibitionist to just lay down naked, but she also wasn’t a prude. She arched up against Hera, raising an eyebrow expectantly at her.

“I wouldn’t call it a favour,” Genesis replied, a cold edge in her voice. “I would call it basic respect,” she murmured, brow furrowed as she watched for the siren’s reaction. “But thank you, I suppose. I’m guessing that’s a big step for you,” she said, cocking her head slightly. “Not naive. Just hopeful. Anyway, I’d like to leave this conversation here and not bring it into my office, please and thank you,” she requested, although it was clearly rhetorical. Gen was not one to suffer fools - it was hard to get onto her books, and she certainly didn’t need the siren’s business. If she was going to do this, she was going to play by Gen’s rules.

Waiting until Sigrid had entered the office, she followed her in, closing the door gently behind her and moving to sit in her armchair. She let out a soft sigh, settling in to the familiar seat, instinctively reaching for her notebook before thinking better of it. It seemed that Sigrid would probably not respond well to Genesis scribing their session - if Genesis had to guess she would assume that Sigrid was a bit of a suspicious being. Looking over at Sigrid, she offered her a small smile, studying her for a minute before speaking. “Right. Why don’t you tell me why you’re here today,” she started.

“Respect is earned,” Sigrid shot back. “I don’t respect people I don’t know. They’ve given me no cause to.” She shifted a bit uncomfortably on her feet when the mermaid pointed out it was a big step for her to try. It felt weird to have it acknowledged. She had always liked being acknowledged for anything she did, but she wasn’t sure she wanted it from this woman. “It is,” she merely said, keeping her gaze on the therapist. “Hopeful and naive are practically synonyms. In most cases at least.” She’d like to believe she wasn’t naive for thinking she could be a better person for her daughter at least. That made her wonder if she was closer in some ways to this mermaid than she had originally thought, something that made her wrinkle her nose. 

“Well, darling. I rather did it to myself…”Hera hummed, giving a little chuckle at the other. The vampire took out her phone and cautiously tapped it, looking it over. “Then how do they make her voice, does a woman sit in a small room and record all words?” she wondered. “Naturally! So…Do we flip a coin for who goes first or are young going to volunteer?” she purred, gesturing to the table she’d commandeered. “I would love to see more of that body of course…”

The corner of Sigrid’s mouth curled into an amused smile. “Maybe so. But I still think you deserve to enjoy yourself now that you’re out of there.” It wasn’t easy to explain how technology worked, perhaps especially for someone who grew up under the ocean, but she had gotten fairly good at using and understandding it over recent years at least. “Well, basically, yes. In Siri’s case, it is a voice actress. Though, sometimes it is computers who do it. They’re very advanced.” She hopped onto sit on the table, shrugging out of her blazer. “I can definitely volunteer, let you see a bit more of me, since you’re so inclined. Though I fully expect to see more of you after.”

As per usual, Lou was more than ready to get down and dirty and just party her head off until the sun came up. Her usual crew was here and the atmosphere of the neon rave was perfect. Upon arriving, she had headed straight to the open bar to start downing glowing shots that were as colorful as the outfits of the people around them but before she could get a decent buzz going, some weird announcement had happened. She didn’t know if she had to blame it on fucking Theodora or the Charbonneau but apparently this was some sort of Lonely Hearts party now, more like Captive Hearts and Lou wanted to yell. What if she got paired with some fuckboy or a fanger boy or… A stunning green eyed beauty that looked carved out of marble. Fuck yes. The wolf struggled to not let her jaw drop as she chuckled, brushing a wayward curl behind her ear. “Believe me, the pleasure is all mine. Either whoever picked the pairs really likes me or tonight is just my lucky night.” She stretched her free, uncuffed hand, “I’m Lou. Would you like to grab a drink?”

Sigrid was pleased to see that the woman seemed happy with being paired with her as well. Though, why shouldn’t she be? The siren knew she was beautiful, powerful and good company. She had her flaws - like being a ruthless killer, or at least, having been one - but overall, she thought herself a good partner for something like this. It was only a human who would’ve been unfortunate to be paired with her, as she would’ve had a hard time controlling herself around them. “It seems we are both lucky,” she smiled, taking the woman’s outstretched hand in a firm, warm shake. “I’m Sigrid. It is lovely to meet you, Lou.” Even with the unfortunate smell. “I would love to grab a drink.” She’d argue the cuffs were entirely unncessary, as the two of them were clearly both interested in getting to know the other, but that was the name of the game. Ever one to be interested in business, Sigrid looked at the other woman curiously as they made their way to the bar. “So what do you do, Lou?”

“Darling one, this is the most fun I have had in two centruies!” The vampire beamed, having already taken to Sigrid in their short time together. They had a business arrangement that benefited both parties and they had fun whilst doing it.”Google…Just Google. Tell me, do you know Siri personally?” she wondered, looking around before blinking away and clearing her throat “Body shots are what we shall do, shall we find something pretty to do them off, or do you want to do them off me?…..Unless you wish to be the one who lays there?”

“I’m glad. God knows you deserve it after being locked up for all that time.” While Sigrid wasn’t usually all that fond of vampires - she tended to be wary of all species aside from her own - she actually liked Hera. And besides, there are few people she would wish a fate on like the one of this vampire’s. She laughed at Hera’s question. “Siri isn’t a real person, love. She’s a virtual assistant. An artificial intelligence. Think of her as Google with a voice.” She could only imagine how confusing technology would be to someone who knew nothing of it. “Mm, you’re definitely something pretty so there’s no need to find someone else. We can take turns?”

Hera was in an ecstatic mood. She was finally at a party after so long of being locked in complete darkness. The Neon party was all she could have hoped for and more- there was a sea of others that she could feast on and she could indulge and make up for lost time. In many ways it almost seemed like she hadn’t learned a thing from her punishment. 

“Amazing!” The vampire beamed and gave a clap of her hands as she looked around the lively party “I think that we should do body shots! I discovered them when catching up with the Googles!”

It was always a challenge for Sigrid to sit back at a party and not look at it as a business opportunity. Especially the ones thrown by members of the society, as they tended to include many stars and up-and-comers for her to try to sign with. But tonight, she had told herself to at least attempt to kick back and enjoy herself. Sipping at a drink, she was walking around the room, looking quietly at everyone. That was when she spotted Hera and she chuckled at the vampire’s excitement. She at least seemed to know how to enjoy herself. “Well, it certainly seems like you’re having fun,” she hummed, shaking her head in amusement at the woman’s phrase for Google. “It’s Google, darling, not ‘the Googles’. Though I do like the idea of body shots. It has been a long time since I have indulged in those.”

One of the reasons Genesis had even ended up on land was to get away from the ongoing conflict between the sirens and the mermaids. A fresh fight had just broken out weeks before Genesis was set to leave, and it had sealed the deal. She’d never understood it, the blood-thirst, the desperation for power. To her it seemed that here was more than enough territory to go around. The ocean was endless. Why did one clan need to rule them all? Unfortunately most of her kind didn’t share her opinion, so it was relief to have found that on land (for the most part) things were civil between the two species. That didn’t stop her from feeling a little apprehensive about her newest client, especially given the court mandate. 

Taking a deep breath, Genesis stands, smoothing her skirt and adjusting her necklace before stepping into the waiting room. Her eyes fall on the dark-haired woman before her, her heart dropping into her stomach at the woman’s reaction. “Hello Sigrid,” she hums, nodding her head slightly. “I’m sure this isn’t your ideal situation, but I can assure you I mean you and your kind no harm. I am actually deeply interested in the pursuit of peace between out species. Please, come on in,” she murmurs, keeping her voice even and calm, determined not the let Sigrid get the best of her so quickly.

In truth, Sigrid had no personal reason to hate mermaids. It wasn’t like humans, who had made her life a living hell, who she had more than enough personal reasons to hate. No, mermaids, she hated for no other reason than she had been raised to. It was just how it was, sirens and mermaids having always been at war with each other. So, when it came down to it, she would actually prefer a mermaid therapist to a human one. She could put her prejudices aside - at least, she liked to believe she could. 

For Mira.

Still, she is apprehensive when the therapist comes out in the waiting room, and she assesses her carefully as she stands up. If she has to find a positive in this otherwise not ideal situation, she likes how the woman smells. Like the ocean. Like home. “You’re right,” she nodded. “It’s not my ideal situation at all. But,” she hesitated. “Since you are willing to work with me, I shall try to put aside any prejudices I hold and return the favor.” It spoke miles of how far she had come, that she would even try that. She never would’ve in the past. She looked at the therapist with surprise when she said she was interested in peace between their kinds. “You want peace... Well. I suppose I should expect that from a mermaid. You always were soft and naive.” So much for putting aside her prejudices.

Delphina studied the siren carefully. It was very unlike the sweet and playful mermaid to be looking for a sight. Normally she was friendly and bubbly, even to those she was slightly unsure of. But as soon as she watched the woman move to poor the liquid down her face the mermaid stepped back, spitting whatever hand been caught in her mouth at the grinning woman. 

The mermaid grinned in return. “Oh I’ll show you hideous,” she lunged forward pulling the woman’s dark hair taught. “Looks like you wanna fight with me hmmm?” She questioned tugging her hair sharply so her chin was angled up towards the blonde.

Smiling darkly down at her she tightened her hold around her neck, knowing very well how much it was hurting her but not thinking about letting her go- that was of cpurse until she felt the pain of the other’s nails on her face. Letting out a wail of pain she let her go not before digging her own nails into the skin of her neck “You don’t know who you are messing with” She hissed between bared teeth.

As the door opens into the office, the smell hits her nostrils immediately and she looks up, alarmed, before letting out an incredulous laugh. “You can’t be serious. Of all creatures...” Maybe this was a joke, after all? “Did someone put you up to this? I don’t have the time nor patience for a prank.”

rigid & cold. she spots her dark hair first amidst the crowd, ( since arriving at hollywood she subconsciously found herself looking for her mom everywhere ) before connecting her by the way she moves through people. as she comes closer and closer mira finds the warmth in her demeanor ( the hope ) quickly grows colder and colder. she’d hoped for a reunion of love, but all she can see in her path is a siren. a horror story. the dark parts of herself mira had tucked away because she’d do better than her parents. dark brows similar to her own knit in her own exasperation as lips part to speak but she’s near stunned. suddenly she yearns to flee. her hopes of her mother being better were futile, childish even. “ mom i, ” she was always the sensitive one. eyes glaze, almost glassy with tears she retains. she had always wanted to be strong like her mom; but the truth was her heart was readily worn on her sleeve. her inner turmoil reels at her own naivety and hopes. shaking her head as if to stop her question she springs forward pushing past her. “ i have to go. ” ) *

Sigrid has failed her. She’s been on land for decades, trying to change, but it had all been in vain. And her daughter, knowing her better than anyone, could see right through her. See that she was still the same as she always had been, just as cold, just as careless, just as vinidictive. But there was one person who managed to melt her cold exterior and that was her. Mira. Seeing her here was a harsh reminder of everything she hadn’t accomplished, everything she had strayed from. It felt like someone was reaching inside of her body and twisting her insides when she noticed the glassy expression in her daughter’s eyes. She was disappointed. She had every right to be, but it hurt to know she was the reason for it. She wants to reach out, to hug her, to tell her she’s sorry, but she doesn’t know how. And before she can try, Mira turns to leave. Her noonexistent heart shatters somwhere inside of her. “No,” she croaks out after a moment, turning to catch Mira’s wrist in her hand. “Wait. Don’t go. Please.” A rare word on the siren’s lips. “I - I’ve missed you.”

Letting out a loud growl she grabbed the Siren by the neck and threw her aside and off of her “Who the fuck are you calling lizard, fucking goldfish” She snarled, before straddling her and going for the throat, her hand starting to freeze the flesh around it. She wasn’t this violent on a normal day, or no violent at all to be honest. But the moon was making her let out her most savage side and she was loving every second of it.

“What - are you doing here?” She hated the thought of her sweet daughter here in greedy, selfish Hollywood. Had she signed her soul over to the devil (Charbonneau)? She could only pray Mira remained unaware of the vampire queens.

The mermaid was enjoying the party for certain, the energy was vibrant and buzzing, it was truly the wildest thing she had experience on land so fall. The sort of thrilling that sent a shiver running up your spine. She made her way through the party, the mixture of moans and grunts hard to tell which were from pleasure and pain. A curious thing she rather enjoyed. A music that sharpened the senses. 

She could sense the siren, and maybe Delphina was feeling the itch for something a little different as she moved more into the woman, knocking her shoulder so that her drink fell from her hand and onto her shoes. Delphina turned to face her looking from the over turned glass to the liquid on her shoes. “They were hideous anyways.” she said as she lifted her gaze to the woman’s face, beautiful and treacherous. The sort that made any mermaid envious. @siren-sigrid​

Oh, how Sigrid had missed letting her impulses control things. Ever since she had come on land, she had tried to be better, for Mira’s sake, which meant no being mean and no violence. It hadn’t been - still wasn’t - easy for a siren to supress those urges and tonight, they were too strong for her to even try. She had caved, allowed herself this one night of being herself. So when a mermaid of all creatures made her spill her drink - deliberately, Sigrid was fairly certain, based on that smug expression of hers - and insulted her louboutins, she couldn’t help but grin.

Grabbing a drink out of the hand of the the nearest person, she carefully poured the liquid out over the mermaid’s face. “It was hideous anyways,” she said condescendingly, itching for a fight.
