Stardew Valley Bachelors: Accepting the Mermaid Pendant
Author’s note: I just want these to be more personalized so I guess I gotta do it myself. In other news I have Shane brainrot and just married Sebastian so only two left to fall in love with-
- This man absolutely cradles the pendant, and it looks so small in his hands. He’s already tearing up, he was the moment he saw that flash of distinct blue, but the moment you put it in his hands, he’s in tears.
- The love on his face is killing, all consuming, and a part of him can’t believe this is really happening, that he really gets to be your husband.
- He absolutely SMOTHERS you in kisses, he almost forgets to put the pendant on, because he just has to show you how in love, how grateful he is.
- It’s more beautiful than he ever thought it would be. If the pendant weren’t such an important token, he would display it instead of wearing it.
- He immediately puts it on and admires it, before grabbing you into the fiercest kiss you’ve ever shared, pouring all his love into it.
- He barely sleeps that night, admiring it - and your sleeping face - and writing about what your life will be like. But he can’t find any words for how it feels to be engaged to you.
- He’s definitely a little surprised, because you definitely beat him to it. You had discussed marriage, of course, but he thought he was the only one planning to propose.
- So when you present the pendant, the first thing he does is…laugh. And you get really sad and nervous until he shows his own matching pendant, and then you’re both laughing. And crying.
- That pretty much answers your question, and he slips the pendant over your head, gathering you into his arms. He somewhat decides to never let you go again.
- He examines the pendant for a minute, his face the absolute picture of shock. He looks between you and the pendant for a couple seconds, before panicking and blurting out “TUBULAR”.
- He will never get over the embarrassment, but it made you laugh. He takes a few moments for you both to calm down and to think about how he’s going to say what he wants to.
- He accepts, as soon as he can think of something better to say, and adds “I really can’t wait to be your husband.”
- Doesn’t really know what to do at first. He doesn’t know what to think, what to say. He’s happy, yes, but there’s some disbelief.
- “And you’re sure about this? Us? Me?” Just months ago, he was lamenting that no one would notice if he disappeared, and now you want him to be your husband.
- You obviously say yes, and finally, Sebastian smiles, and pulls you in for a kiss. He’s going to be your husband, and he still can’t believe it’s real.
- Literally doesn’t believe it at first. He tests to make sure it’s a real pendant at least five times before he looks at you with these super wide eyes.
- “Are you sure? Do you…do you really mean…? Me?” It breaks your heart how uncertain he is. He knows you love him, of course he knows that, but he never thought of himself as the marriage material type.
- Of course, he agrees, after making double, triple, quadruple sure that you mean this. He goes to bed in tears, in utter disbelief that you chose him.
