Getting to know her is like reading a book Every day is a new page to her story I read every word , tracing over them like finger tips read braille. Turning each page ever so carefully so I don’t get a paper cut . Untouched, covered in dust , I reach for the next one. She’s a series of poems . Beautifully written on each page joined by the spine. I open her up. My eyes can’t seem to leave the curves of each letter of the alphabet that spell out what’s on her mind at 2am when she’s up trying to understand the galaxies in her head. And so I wait Patiently for the next day , when the library opens again , so I can read a book about the stars , Maybe then I can understand how someone can hold the milky way in their eyes . -TJG
