Did I ask?

“Seems that the patient really didn’t like the person that brought them this,” he said looking at the teddy, tied to balloons. “They throw it out the window. I don’t suppose there is any point in trying to return them,” he said, looking at the toy, wondering if his new unborn child would like it when they were born.

“I can’t blame them. I’d be a pretty irritable patient as well.” Parker loved trying to make patients feel their best but sometimes it was an impossible task. “Probably not, I’m sure one of the kids on the pediatric unit would love it.”

             bright gaze remains locked on the notebook in her hands, eyes skimming the spells curiously. it’s a recollection of some spells kol had written down for her, others he’d recalled from lost grimoires that had belonged to his mother. she’d kept other grimoires, tucked in her home’s library. one that, of course, she had spelled. as the light hitting the writing dims, her head lifts to study her newfound company. instantly, it’s as if her ears turn on and the flooded voice enters them, rendering her confused. her expression does little to hide this and so she furrows her eyebrows, lips parting slowly. ❝ what ?? ❞ maybe… she should’ve apologized for her lack of attention first. ❝ could you say that again ?? ❞ not doing so, however, was much more like her.

“I had been asking about what you were doing, nothing too important.” Parker shrugged as she looked towards Davina, she had never really had much interaction with her but she knew that her daughter worked at the occult shop and that was somewhere that she spent quite a bit of her time. “I’m always interested in anything to do with magic.”

Romeo had been walking down the street when his had caught sight of some wedding dresses in the shop window. A flash appearing in his mind of Lizzie standing in the shop trying on the dresses, which eyes glazing over as he looked at the future. The memory making him smile, that he didn’t notice when he turned and bumped right into someone. “Woah, sorry.”

“Yeah - you have eyes for a reason.” Parker retorted before shaking her head. “I’m just kidding, I wasn’t watching where I was going. So I’d say we’re both equally at fault.” Parker had just gotten off a twelve hour shift at the hospital which led to her not being the most observant of her surroundings. “You okay?” She asked.
