Some dragon Verso fanart inspired by @asaara-writes ’s lovely whimsy fic catimini!

They reach the tour à bonbons, where all his favourite sweets are within reach and never run out: barbe à papa, lollipops, marshmallow, chocolate, birthday cake (because every day is his birthday in the Canvas). Anything his heart—or stomach—desires, and if it’s not there, all it takes is a simple brush stroke to fix that. He gathers chroma in the cup of his hand and sweeps it towards himself, repainting his pajamas into a knight’s armour. Then he thinks better of it and decides to paint himself as a dragon instead. He’s there to destroy the tower, after all, not protect it, and he has to look the part: pointy teeth and prismatic scales, a crest of swirling spikes, and large, translucent wings that shine rainbow in the sunlight. “What do you think, Esquie?” Verso asks. Esquie considers him. “I think you are the most fearsome dragon these lands have ever seen. And dragons need to eat lots and lots of candy.”
