I cherish every fanfic with dom!Laurent, i need more 😭

A thought. Damen was not stronger than Auguste. Auguste spared him and gave him a chance to raise his sword, for whatever reason; Damen did not spare him in return. Auguste could have stopped him. So what? Nothing. Only that all of the Lamens’ internal assurances that Damen was simply stronger seem to me to be self-deception.

I could reread the ending of *The Prince's Gambit* and the beginning of *The Kings Rising* forever, over and over again. It brings me such sweet pain

Damen wasn’t ordered to kill August. He said, “Father, I can defeat him.” It was Damen’s own initiative. He killed him not only of his own accord, but also of his own volition. Of course, he wanted to save his people. The life of an enemy prince is hardly worth anything compared to his own people. August would hardly have survived anyway. ...or maybe he would have. Maybe.

Okay, here’s an unpopular (?) opinion. I don’t like it when Damen acts dominantly toward Laurent. I’m sure I’ve missed out on some well-written fanfics because of this, probably… But I really can’t stand it. In my view, Laurent should be carried on hands, even if he’s ready to take the whole world upon his shoulders.

Laurent can call him "Damianos," "slave," "Exalted" or "husband," and Damen will meow just the same

I do love it when Laurent says "attend me." For some reason, to me it just sounds so… so aristocratic. So elegant. Not just "Serve me," but like this… just like that. He can say "attend me" and I'm ready to follow him and fall to my knees.

Is there any specific reason why Damianos is sometimes given the surname Vallis? It’s certainly not Βασίλειος, though it’s close. Because of the similarity in sound? Hmm.

There is a desire to write fanfiction about the model Laurent and the musician Damen and to destroy Laurent as thoroughly as possible😶‍🌫️

I love this kind of fanfiction... Mostly post-canon stories... Where they show Laurent's dark side. Where you can see him struggling. Where it's clear that peace is harder for him than war. I love it when Damen doesn't have enough patience to deal with Laurent's trauma — he tries, but it's not enough. When small misunderstandings can lead to disaster. But in the end, everything turns out okay. Drama with a happy ending is my favorite tag.
