"Osomatsu-kun!!! It's been a while." Hanako chirped out, "I miss hanging out with you."
âTHEREâS MY PRETTY LITTLE SONGBIRD!â
He took a moment, and composed himself, but he had a huge smile on his face. âI mean, hey, Hanako, whatâs shakin?â
oh-no-oniichan:
âGood food and come-as-you-are? Say no more, songbird, I am already on board for this one hundred percent!â He still couldnât get one hundred percent used to the idea that Hanako - pretty Hanako, who had been Actually Famous and could probably have her pick of anyone she liked in Akatsuka Ward - would actually be willing to hold his hand and be seen in public with him. There had to be some sort of mistake, right? He was one of the most notorious NEETs in town, and she, sheâŚ.
She liked him.
Time froze for a second in his brain while he tried to get a grip on this, but thankfully, his confidence stepped up to the plate just in time. âWeird? Naaaaaaaah. Itâd be weird if you liked, I donât know, a T. Rex or something, but even then. They have their own charm. Ha ha!!â Okay, Osomatsu, letâs get back on the rails. âI mean, itâs not that weird, because I like you, yeah? So it only makes sense that weâd both, um. Do this. Mutual liking thing.âÂ
Nailed it.
Hanako giggled at the T-Rex thing and drew in a deep breath. âMutual liking thing.â She repeated then stopped walking, turning to face Osomatsu completely. âSo... since we both like each other... and weâre going to a restaurant... w-would you call this a date?âÂ
She genuinely liked Osomatsu. He was confident and funny, and always considerate. At least around HER he was. And he seemed to be one of the most honest people sheâs met, so that was another plus in her book.Â
âD... do you want it to be a date? Because I do.âÂ
