Champs Les Sims Restored (Version 1.2)
I’ve always loved World Adventures and Champs Les Sims, but it never quite felt complete. After learning about the developers' original concept for France that included the landmarks, I put together a simple CAW edit that reshapes the road layout to better fit the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. All of the original lots and residents are still here. This is something I kept for my personal playthroughs, but now I've decided to share it!
How to Install
Go to the Worlds folder in your World Adventures install directory (depends on your game install):
EA App: C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 3\EP01\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds
Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 3\EP01\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds
Origin: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\EP01\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds
Make a backup of the existing France.world file. Right-click, select "Copy", and "Paste" it somewhere safe.
Unzip the France.zip file in the Worlds folder, then select "Replace the file".
Clear your caches.
Save Compatibility
The world should work fine for new saves.
For existing saves, you’ll need to delete the France_*x********.nhd file in the save folder, so the world and its quests work properly. If your Sims haven’t traveled to France yet, you can skip this step.
