For the world that my Paralives legacy family is in, I decided to move in some new families/paras for the next generation, and even designed a home for one such family! Some of the pictures were taken at different times of day, so apologies for the lighting differences...

The first floor layout has an open plan kitchen/dining/living room. It also has a purple bathroom with washer/dryer and a staircase hidden behind a door to make everything look cohesive.

The downstairs floorplan includes a rather green bathroom and all three bedrooms: 2 for the kids + a larger master bedroom with a walk-in closet.

The bedrooms were very fun to put together/decorate in particular! I created the building's exterior first and it took some planning to make all the rooms within fit how I wanted them to.

Parker is my oc and Adlai is @braid2018's oc from the strange town of St. Simon , Oregon. They are roommates and slow-burn love interests that have recently shared their first kiss. However, Parker said he didn't want things to change between them because he's scared of losing a good friend, and so now nothing has changed and it's horrible :) We suffer, etc. etc.

Anyway, this house design is based off their apartment that I drew a layout of recently, and tbh I wasn't too off with the proportion of everything!

As an art teacher, Lily makes use of Rory's new easel and collection of art supplies as soon as she moves in to work on her studies to improve her traditional art skills. But she starts to feel unfulfilled with what she has. After all, when she got the job they explained there'd be no room for growth or many raises. Rory's fast paced job at the cafe, the experimenting with different dishes, now that called to her. So she up and quit one day, deciding instead to work at the hospital cafeteria for some experience.

When the paperwork and home inspection has been completed, the crib and other furniture is bought, the room decorated, Rory and Lily were finally able to bring home Shina, now named Shina Tellez. Babyhood passes quickly though; they grow up fast! Before the two of them knows it, she's speaking and eating solid foods, and even learning to use the toilet!

Rory spent all her free time outside of the cafe cooking for her family, researching recipes, and day dreaming about a chef-shaped future for herself. Lily and her could talk about their favorite cooking shows forever, and would jokingly plot to compete against each other one day.

These days Rory's house is looking quite a bit more decorated, particularly with her favorite color(s). With that signing bonus from the cafe, she was able to add on a living room and expand building to a second floor, which remains empty as she figures out what to do with the rest of the space.

Just after midnight, a meteor crashed near the ruins! Rory happened to be up to hear the crash, and went to check it out to collect what remained. With no information available about it, she decides to keep it a secret for now.

Secret keeping isn't her expertise though, especially when it comes to work. The gym eventually finds out about her second job at the cafe, and with her rather poor attitude lately, they decide to fire her on the spot. Seeking comfort, she invites Lily over so they can spend some time together. Even so, that night she has a steamy dream about Robin that leaves her feeling all kinds of guilty.

The next day, however, Rory asks if they could actually be together! With her head in the clouds after Lily leaves, when Rory is making dinner, she ends up lighting her kitchen (and herself) on fire! Thankfully an elderly neighbor heard the alarms and rushed inside to save the day before the fire department was called. Damn alarm didn't help at all! More friendly neighbors helped out when the fire spread to the lawn, before it became her neighbor's problem too. Thank goodness!

Despite the stress of a huge fire, her night shift still needed her to come in, and she needed the money to replace what she'd lost! Her acquaintance from her first night in town walks by as she heads to work, looking happy to see her now-neighbor with a local job!

The days continue as Rory and Lily grow closer, and she one day makes a bold hair decision the same day she pops the question to Lily, both on a whim but both feeling right in this moment. She brought Lily out to the hillside just as the sun set and the sky turned to a dark, starless blue. Kneeling down on the pavement, though difficult with her leg, was worth the look on Lily's face when she said yes!

Rory's day starts with a bad mood and a broken shower before she has to head to work. Her attitude towards her manager gets her a warning and a sympathetic look. But that's about it.

When she returns home, she feels even worse than the start of the day and suspects she may have caught a stomach bug from someone at the gym. Her toilet breaking that evening feels like the final straw before she finally bursts into tears, falling to the wet ground in the bathroom. "I didn't expect this all to be so damn hard!"

After letting the tears flow, she finally gathers herself up for bed, hoping for a much better tomorrow...

A tomorrow in which she almost forgets her new uniform, as she is now officially working at the front desk of the gym instead of as the janitor! The hours are much later in the day and she's still expected to train the new janitor, but she's hopeful about the direction of her job change. At the very least, it should offer a bit more stability for now.

Lily passes by the gym after Rory's shift, and she doesn't hold back from flirting her way into a smooth introduction. Rory is taken aback slightly though manages to flirt back. Robin remains in the back of her thoughts, but it's not like they've decided to go out yet or anything. Nothing wrong with some casual flirting and chatting late into the night, right?

"What's this?" Rory says to herself, looking over the morning paper. "A 1,500 paradime signing bonus?!? Wow, they must be desperate..." She turns the page to the next article to continue reading but then turns the page back. She must be pretty desperate, too. She considers her options, not exactly wanting to quit her current, new job, but also wanting to try something new. Something different. If she really tries hard, maybe she can maintain both jobs?

Robin makes a first visit! She and Rory met at the local farmers market, at the little stand the gym had set up to advertise its memberships amongst the other stalls with their variety of good to choose from. Rory had been manning the stand, and the sparks felt instant. Luckily she snagged Robin's number off the gym's contact sheet from that day, and Robin didn't question too much where Rory exactly got her number from.

Through their conversations, Rory finds out that Robin is polyamorous and in a relationship already, which makes her feel a bit discouraged. Does she really have a chance? Would she get jealous at Robin's other partner? Rory had never been in a polyamorous relationship before, so she had no idea how to approach things...

To keep her mind off it, she joins the gym's jogging club in a run up the mountain one afternoon, where she finds some cool stones and pockets them for later inspection. The local museum may have use for them; she's seen that big donation box sitting outside the main entrance.

As celebration for applying to the open position at the front desk of the gym, Rory's Sunday morning is spent in her comfy robe playing a cozy game for a few hours. Robin is meant to come over that afternoon, which makes the butterflies flutter in Rory's stomach as she gets all dressed up for the occasion. Maybe a bit too formally, given Robin's typically casual attire most times they've hung out so far.

And "hang out" they certainly do.

After Robin leaves, Rory is just standing in the middle of her kitchen with this stupid smile on her face!

But Rory's private giddiness is interrupted when a stranger named Suzy lets herself in through the front door unexpectedly. Rory stays guarded, but friendly, as Suzy talks about her job in programming and how excited she is to meet someone new in town. Huh, Rory never would have guessed Suzy to be a tech nerd, dressing in all that pink.

Maybe Suzy could be her way in to earning more paradimes so that she could expand her house even further...

When night approaches, Rory is able to find refuge at a kind stranger's house for the time being. Ms. Strong apparently prides herself on helping those in need, and Rory is thankful for the kindness extended her way.

Her first day working at the gym goes by without incident. She sticks around after the afternoon of cleaning to get some steps in, grab a snack, and shower. She also meets Amira, who was working out at the same time. Their humor is similar, so they hit it off instantly while finishing their workouts.

It's extra simple living the next few days, until she's able to earn enough paradimes to finally put up four walls (plus entryway). She even treats herself to a bed after a surprise tax refund.

I don't know how she effectively cleans with those sharp nails. She's certainly talented, a Jack of All Trades, if you will! And her hard work eventually pays off in the form of a bonus, which she uses to add on a little kitchen to her home.

While cleaning at the gym, she's been observant of the trainers on duty there. It's been a good boost her fitness knowledge along with the research she's done into various stretching techniques, too. She thinks she might have what it takes to get a new job at the gym the next time they're hiring. In the meantime though, she continues to introduce herself to those around town, even agreeing to help out with the town's green power initiative by promising to invest in solar panels for her new home.

A trip downtown to look into said solar panels leads her into the local plant shop, where she happily spends a good portion of her paycheck on some new greenery for her home, which has gradually been filling out with more furniture.

Paralives: Early Access - Stream #2 @ 6pm

#Paralives Legacy Anyone??? I decided to bring back an old character I made for a Legacy challenge yearrrrs ago in Sims. Here she is in Paralives! Her name is Rory Tellez.

She's very excited about her large, empty plot of land. I plan to start her with no money, and have her work her way up! She's starting with a job as a Janitor of the local gym, so she can take advantage of the showers.

Over the last couple of days, I've been learning how to use Notion to create a Sims 2 legacy tracker for myself. I plan to start streaming my legacy challenge on Tuesdays to YouTube and Picarto. I was heavily inspired by Rosannatxt's Sims 4 Pack Legacy Challenge, which she created a Notion template for. The goals/story ideas were taken from Mod The Sims & @resurrectonomitron's Lepacy Challenge. Check out the original posts if you'd like!

It’s been a long time since I’ve played Sims 4 and even longer since I played my legacy family, but I was going through some old screenshots and found these! Building and designing has always been hard for me, so I spent a lot of time building my Kasparian Legacy Family Home(tm) to practice.

I don’t have time to make nice edits, so it’s starting off simple and sparse. It also starts off fairly standard: no money, no place to sleep or eat, and a very slow and tedious flow of money to buy the necessities. 

Though Romy’s lived most of her life in comfort, she always knew she needed her parents completely out of her life. A chance at a fresh start. That opportunity came when an estranged godparent of hers passed away and left Romy a large, water-side lot and an heirloom suit of armor.
