Well, this took forever (no pun intended). I took the "Well Run Dry" décor item, shrunk it down, changed the pail into a bucket, swapped out the tuning, and voilà! An old-timey, off-the-grid outdoor sink. There are some minor clipping issues with the fingers when viewed from one specific angle, but jankiness is to be expected when the source object wasn't built to function this way. Such is life.

Advent Weekend #2: 19th c. Updo

Here is the second installment of Advent (a day late). This hair was inspired by a portrait of Caroline von Holnstein from 1834. The painting hangs in the Gallery of Beauties in Germany (thanks @simstomaggie for mentioning this to me!)

Aegean Set 2.0

Revisiting Ariadne and Phaedra to give them some clothes! And also a tunic for Theseus. The clothing are based off of ancient Minoan and Mycenaean clothing (huge inspiration from the reconstructions by Dr. Bernice Jones; I don’t think I’d be able to visualize their shapes from the ancient frescos alone), although some swatches are more historically accurate than others.

The Victorian Laborer Set

This set include smocks in the adult and the child version, and wooden clogs.  

The smocks could work from 1850s to 1910s and the wooden clogs were mostly worn from the 16th century to the 1950s in Europe.

GIBBS HILL MAKEOVER - MAXIS-MATCH CC BUILD

So… I finally had the right inspiration to makeover the houses for the Pleasant and Elberberry families in Britechester! I think they turned out quite cute, and I was hit on by the newest set Chateau by @felixandresims. So beautiful - it's my new favorite. LOL

January CC Project: Late Medieval Set

It's finally here! This set was inspired by 14th-15th century hairs. It was very hard to find detailed references of pre-14th century hairstyles, especially since women's hair was normally covered in a veil or head covering.

Thanks to @manul-sul-sul and @sychik for their open T.O.U.! Both are very talented creators and everyone should check out their content :). I used the braid from @manul-sul-sul's Sunrise Hair for Leonarda and I converted @sychik's Matilda Braids for children. Hope you enjoy!

well this is the first of the hairstyles I planned to make. looks pretty medieval to me, but is probably quite versatile. how these braids stay pinned to the head is left for imagination :D

there are two versions, one with the band and the other without, ea colors as always. highest lod is 4k for both. there are also two band recolors, one is more plain (left one in the preview) and the other more silky (right one), they are found in earrings, both in renaissance palette by @vadish-sims.

Georgian house built in Britechester for the dean (or somebody else important). Decorated in a traditional style for someone who doesn’t use much technology (there is still a tv and computer but my head canon is the couple here uses less mod cons than most)

Simblreen 2022 Treat #5: Violet Hair + Accessory

While I was working on this hair, I was watching Downton Abbey, and I was imagining that the Dowager would have worn her hair like this in the early 1860s, hence the name! It was inspired by my Selde Hair, a similar style for children. This hair also comes with an accessory that i edited; the original belongs to the amazing @the-melancholy-maiden; I have linked to the original file below.
