neroli - a skin blend for TS3

Ok no more group pics because I got sick of posing all my sims together.

This skin is a mix of Ephemera's Freckle R skin, Realistic skin, Fresh skin, Buffy's V4 skin (used as the base), and a hint of Noodlesim's Apple Cider Vinegar V2 skin. Yeah, a real concoction, I know.

It favours a more realistic sunkissed look, and has freckle details on the teen, adult and elder faces. Male textures have very subtle freckles on the face and some light hair on the body; female textures have stronger freckles on the face and the standard smooth Ephemera body texture.

It reminds me of a carefree day spent in the sun...

I think Ephemera's realistic skins are gorgeous but I found it hard to make them work for my sim style. So this blend is my way of adapting those realistic details for my own aesthetics. Personally I love how it came out.

Thank you @sim-songs for encouraging me to finish this up and get it ready for general use, because after I finished the adult stages I was ready to leave it hanging in forever-wip-purgatory. And thank you to @tau1tvec @descendantdragfi for testing an early version of this skin blend many months ago - it's finally done now. 🤪

AxA 2023 Clothing Collection (For The Sims 3)

After many laborious days of sitting hunched over my laptop like a molerat... she's hereee! I converted the clothing ONLY (i'll leave the accessories for another day...), and included all of the belted/non-belted/patterned/graphic/solid variations as well. Not all of the original shirt graphics are included due to the amount of work it was, so I settled on about 6-9 of my favorite swatches each.

Also I just wanted to mention that, like always, the teen versions were giving me trouble so there may be seams on some of the items. If you notice any other issues tho, please mention them to me! This was a lot of stuff to convert so sometimes things slip through the cracks😞

The Leo tee was converted by me previously, so if you already have it make sure to delete it before downloading this!

Custom Lighting & Environment Mods for TS3

So here is the complete list of all the lighting mods I’m currently playing with.

UranesiaLightingMod_NOGreenSunrise+DefaultWater+BrighterNight by Nilxis : it’s the main lighitng mod.

Wasset_EnchantedEnvironment_Seperated by Wasset ; it change  the appearance of both the sun and the moon (plus adding them a beautiful “halo”), of the clouds, rainbow and stars, and few other features. The original link on his page is broken, so I just uploaded it HERE

Improved Environmental Shadows by Simsi45 ; I’m using just the DYNAMIC file  (the shadows respond more accurately to the sun’s position, letting them stretch further towards the horizon).

Shadow Extender by Lazy Duchess: it  increases the draw distance of shadows and in addition improves the look of map view by making trees and other miscellaneous deco cast shadows, when they previously did not.

Snow but Better by Lyralei: instead of the snow replacement of Wasset, I’m using this one, more detailled. The terrain snow textures are entirely redone; Frosty windows and glass now has more detailed frost on it; it fix that annoying and ugly “Grass” patches.; Icicles have a new texture; Roads got bumpier and more detailed.

Reworked & Impreved EA lights by Simsi45:  it modifies the lite resource for almost all the lamps, making the game a little bit more atmospheric and visually appealing.

This is a teeny little mod that I made that I should have shared a long time ago, when I started sharing Tempest presets, but…I didn't. But since I'm about to share a preset that this would apply to...Here we are.

All this file does is remove the two-day-long transitions between seasons that EA built into the vanilla code. Such a transition is normally fine, except if you use unusually long season lengths and/or if you happen to use any of the non-default Tempest presets that I've shared. (Meaning, the ones that are meant for X-day-long seasons and that won't "pick up" the season lengths you've set in your game/save. More details about that here.) If you use any of those non-default presets, they have proper, realistic seasonal transitions already built into them, so the EA code will…Well, not mess them up, really, but it can make the first few days of a new season act differently than intended. So, if a little weirdness bothers you, then you can use this mod to fix it. Or not. Whatever. The option is there if you want it. :)

It will conflict with other mods that change things about season duration/transitions and whatnot because they'll modify the same XML, so...yeah. Either pick one or the other, or open both up in S3PE and change numbers in one or the other so that you're essentially combining mods. Which reminds me...

Perhaps more usefully, you can also use this as a "base" to expand possible season lengths/transitions for your own purposes. It modifies only one XML, so just open the mod in S3PE, right click on the XML and open it in Notepad. Then, fiddle with numbers as you desire. It's pretty self-explanatory, but...

To change possible minimum/maximum season lengths, change the numbers in these lines:

Then you can have 100-day-long or 1000-day-long seasons, if you want. I don't think there's an upper limit. But, I don't think you can have seasons shorter than 6 days.

To change the length of transitions between seasons -- which you'll want to do if you want to use really long seasons, regardless of whether or not you use any of my Tempest presets, because the default length is only two days -- change the number on this line to a non-zero number that makes sense compared to the season length that you use:

I’ve always loved the look of these eyes by Shady but never actually used them because they’re too dark. I put these on Escands sclera from their oh my eyes and bumped up the contrast a bit. Included is potatobuttcheek‘s eyelash default and icecreamforbreakfast’s teeth default. Pictured with Ea’s eyemesh.

Family Secrets Mod Family Secrets expands your town’s capacity for drama and intrigue by offering player and NPC Sims greater control over the legitimacy of their offspring. Romantic affairs and unwed pregnancies will present players with the choice of revealing or hiding a child’s true parentage, or even attempting the “Cuckoo” action, which can convince a birth parent’s partner that a child born from an affair is actually theirs!

Family Secrets also expands The Sims 3 Adoption system, allowing Sims to choose between joint or sole adoption, as well as the ability to foster children.

This mod requires no expansion packs or supporting mods to operate. While it does not enable any non-default relationship options, it contains built-in support and decision-making considerations for same-sex, intergenerational, and interfamilial pregnancies. This mod also fixes a known base-game issue wherein certain non-standard pregnancies would cause the Family Tree menu to crash the game.

Enjoy this mod, and please comment on any issues you may have with its performance.

Settings: The Settings Menu for the Family Secrets mod can be accessed in-game through City Hall, and allows players to fine-tune how they wish to play: Cuckoo - Discovery: True[%]/False Select whether Cuckoo attempts can be discovered by the birth parent’s partner, and if so, the base rate of discovery. When enabled, Sims’ ability to discover Cuckoo attempts are affected by their logic skill, relationship with the birth parent, as well as certain traits. Cuckoo - Reveal Parent: True[%]/False Select whether Cuckoo attempts, when discovered, can result in the true parent being identified, and if so, the base chance of the birth parent’s partner identifying the true parent. When the NPC Decisions setting (below) is enabled, Sims’ likelihood of publicly revealing the true parent is affected by their relationship with both the birth parent and true parent, as well as certain traits. Public Reaction: True/False Select whether Sims will react to decisions made by player and NPC sims. When enabled, partners and family members will react negatively when a Sim engages in affairs, denies their own children, is discovered to be attempting to Cuckoo other Sims, or other ill-mannered actions. NPC Decisions: True/False Select whether NPC Sims can make weighted decisions on matters of parentage, based on their skills, traits, and relationships. When disabled, NPC Sims will always attempt to Cuckoo their partner when engaged in affairs, will always elect to reveal the true parent when a Cuckoo attempt is discovered, and will never deny parentage of their own children. Same-Sex Pregnancy: True/False Select whether the Family Secrets mod should account for the possibility of same-sex pregnancies in its decision-making process. When enabled, the Cuckoo action will become available for a wider range of partner types. This option does not enable same-sex pregnancies, but will work with other mods that do. LTR Cutoff: Undefined/Partner/Fiancee/Spouse Select whether the Family Secrets mod should skip decision-making for faithful pregnancies at or above a particular Long-Term Relationship level. Example: when LTR Cutoff is set to “Fiancee”, a Sim with a long-term partner at either the “Fiancee” or “Spouse” level will not receive decision prompts when a child is born between themself and their committed partner.

This Edit just removes the black plate files of the mod. So you can use it with your plate replacement or vanilla plates if you have none installed. For this showcase I used these fancy default plates.

In Boring Bones terms of use reads that editing their mods is fine. But if they dont like the edit out in the internet I would delete it immediately.
