The Simsarillion

The alphabet legacy challenge, but less similar to the one hundred baby challenge.

It will be divided in different parts as it's a looong challenge.

Rules:

Cheats are allowed, you do you! Each heir must have their name beginning with the letter of their generation. They all must share the same last name, which is the last name of your founder. The heirs must have only one child (in the case of twins and triplets, the oldest one will become the heir, but they all must have names beginning with the letter of the generation), unless stated otherwise.

Generation 1: the letter A

This is the founder of the legacy!

must have three of the following traits:

active, art lover, ambitious, adventurous, animal enthusiast

likes:

acting, alternative and americana music.

goals:

Reach level 10 of the astronaut career, the actor career, or the athlete career.

complete any of these aspirations:

archeology scholar, academic, angling ace

master the acting and archeology skills.

Generation 2: the letter B

must have the bookworm and bro traits

likes:

backyard, baroque, and blues music. basics and bohos styles. black, brown, and blue colours

goals:

reach top of either the babysitter or barista part-time career during teenage years

may not earn higher or lower than a B in school

earn the 'bad manners' character value trait

choose any of the following aspirations:

beach life, bestselling author, bodybuilder, big happy family

must reach level 10 of the business career

master the bowling and baking skills.

must move to brindleton bay or to britechester when the generation begins

Generation 3: the letter C

may not earn higher or lower than a C in school

must have the charmer trait or the clingy trait as a toddler.

choose any three of the following traits:

cheerful, child of the islands, child of the oceans, cat lover, childish, clumsy

likes:

contemporary and cosmolux styles. classical music.

goals:

earn the compassionate character value trait.

master the communication skill as a toddler

master the charisma, comedy, and cooking skills.

complete any of these aspirations:

the computer whiz, city native, country caretaker, chief of mischief

reach level 10 of any of the following careers:

conservationist, civil designer, criminal, critic, culinary.

master the creativity skill as a child

Generation 4: the letter D

likes: DJ Booth, Dancing

goals:

reach the top level of the diver part time career as a teenager

master the DJ mixing and dancing skills

move to del sol valley as soon as the generation begins

reach level ten of any of the following careers:

doctor or detective.

Generation 5: the letter E

likes: easy listening and electronica music.

traits:

evil, erratic.

goals:

earn the emotional control character value trait

complete the eco-innovator aspiration

reach level ten of any of the following careers:

education, engineer, entertainer

move to evergreen harbour as soon as the generation starts.

Generation 6: the letter F

likes: farmhouse and french country styles. Focus music. Fishing and fitness

traits: foodie, freegan, family-oriented

must have the fussy trait as a toddler

goals:

reach the top level of either the fastfood employee or fisherman career as a teenager.

complete any of these aspirations: friend of the world, freelance botanist.

complete any of the freelance careers.

master the fishing, fitness, and flower arranging skills

move to the forgotten hollow as soon soon as the generation starts.

visit the forgotten grotto.

Generation 7: the letter G

likes: garden style. Gardening and guitar. Green and Grey.

any of the following traits:

good, green fiend, geek, goofball, gloomy.

goals:

complete either the good vampire aspiration or the grilled cheese aspiration.

master the guitar, gardening, and gourmet cooking skills.

go on holiday to granite falls.

move to Glimmerbrook as soon as the generation starts.

reach level ten of the gardening career.

Generation 8: the letter H

likes: handiness. hip-hop music.

traits: high maintenance, hot-headed, hates children.

goals:

gain the 'happy toddler' trait

master the herbalism and handiness skills.

move to henford-on-bagley as soon as the generation starts.

Generation 9: the letter I

likes: island radio. island style.

toddler traits: either independent or inquisitive.

goals:

must develop the irresponsible and insensitive character value traits.

master the imagination skill as a toddler

Generation 10: the letter J

likes: Japanese folk, jazz music.

must have the jealous trait

goals:

must complete the joke star aspiration.

The challenge is simple – complete 10 sim generations with the same family, but on short lifespan! Complete the challenge on story mode or nightmare mode for even more suffering!

Disclaimer: This is by no means a new take on the classic legacy challenge, and I’m sure there are many other challenges out there that are very similar! I’ve just been binge-watching lilsimsie’s current LP whilst suffering a bad flare-up of my chronic illness and felt so inspired that I pulled out my old gaming laptop so I could play something similar in bed! Now that I’m going into gen 2 I thought I would write up some rules that I could personally follow, and have decided to share them here with you. xo

G L O B E T R O T T E R  C H A L L E N G E your sim is an adventurer visiting many places around the globe ✩

this challenge is meant to be played with one sim and the following packs: seasons, island living, eco lifestyle, snowy escape, outdoor retreat, jungle adventure, strangerville, realm of magic or vampires, nifty knitting + any pack you’d like to enrich your gameplay. this challenge is NOT about accumulating money, but enjoying the gameplay. usually each round has its own main and secondary aspirations to fulfill. it’s best to turn the aging off or set it to long ✩

There are two sides to every coin and two paths your sims can take in this new spin on the ten generation legacy challenge. Each generation your sim will be given a basic background and personality along with a set of requirements like usual, but that’s only half the story. You will have to choose either heads or tails in order to decide your sims future, each side with its own pros and cons, effecting not only the required tasks but your sim’s story as well.

Will your sim become a mad scientist or a tomb raiding adventurer? Will they explore their love of nature through gardening, or help animals in need as a vet? Will they become a werewolf, or a vampire? You decide! Or… leave it up to fate, and flip a coin.

General Rules:

No, you do not actually have to flip a coin. I wanted to create a flexible, customizable playing experience, so feel free to choose whichever side you want to play or works best for your story. Though you can certainly flip a coin if you want to.

The challenge is designed so that your heir sims can stay neutral through their baby - teen life stages. You can decide which side they end up pursuing as they grow. However, the deadline to choose a side is when your heir ages up into a young adult.

The only exception to the above rule is the founder, you do not necessarily have to choose which side to pursue immediately, but I’d recommend officially choosing their route by the time they’re at most halfway through their young adult hood.

Each generation must complete their specified career and aspiration.

If the career branch is not specified, you can choose whichever branch you’d like.

Some generations only have 1 required base trait, so if you haven’t decided on a path before your sim becomes a teen, feel free to choose any trait you want and then change it to the required trait once they become a young adult and you’ve chosen your desired path.

Bonus Challenges are optional. Their just fun extra things I thought of to make things more challenging, but they’re not required.

If you like adding drama, creating stories with your sims and delicious desserts, then you’ve found the right legacy challenge for you! This is a ten generation legacy that revolves around desserts and colors that you can base your sims on.

This legacy challenge, as of right now, uses multiple packs. 

I don’t want any control over your gameplay and/or story. I want you to make this all your own, so if you want to use cheats or anything like that go right ahead. If you want to start with 0 simoleons to make it even more challenging, do what your heart desires. Any traits, aspirations, careers, etc you think could be something else, use that instead. I truly just want everyone to have fun with this! Make this challenge your own, that’s what it’s here for!

wanderlust legacy challenge part one

hi guys welcome to a new legacy challenge! i’ve had the itch to make a new one since coming back to simblr, so here goes. 

you need all packs to be able to play this legacy challenge fully

the premise of this legacy challenge is: each generation has it’s own world. you are only allowed in the world of the generation you are currently playing, or the worlds of generations past. for a “hard mode”, only allow yourself to play in the current generations world. this means, no leaving the world for dates, days out, events, parties ect. 

tips: at the start of each legacy challenge, you have full rein to do whatever you would like to the world you’re moving into. add new community lots and townies. make the world you’re playing in fun and exciting. include as many types of community lots you can. once the generation begins, you are not allowed to edit your world any further. (apart from editing sims if they grow up ugly for example lol)

note, your sims are allowed to interact with townies from different worlds, but they are NOT allowed to marry them, or go over to their house. you MUST marry a sim from your generation’s world.

rules, or not so much rules: you are allowed to play this legacy challenge as loosely or as strictly as you’d like. preferably you will use no money cheats, job or skill cheats, but honestly play the way you enjoy the game! use any sort of mods you like to enhance your own enjoyment. this legacy challenge is here for fun after all. 

you can play this legacy challenge on any age length! just no pausing aging. normal aging is recommended, short aging is definitely for hard mode, but i personally enjoy long aging so it’s totally up to you. you can also have as many or as few pets as you’d like unless specified otherwise.
