A Weekend simmer

Looking at Delilah's room from the crib alcove. She's kept some of her favourite art and I did a bunch of cc frames of her favourite photos.

More photos! And her butterflies of course. Door on the left is to the bathroom, door on the right is the hall.

Continuing to rotate around the room...

The crib nook is definitely one of my favourite parts of this house. I put as much stained glass as I could!

I also love the collection of things on the bedside table. And you may be like- Kirsty he's not going to see that turtle to which I say- well actually I have seen Isaac in the crib with a thought bubble of the turtle so he must be able to.

Alright now into the bathroom adjoining Delilah's room. Yes I made sure she had a pink shower curtain.

And I actually put decor stuff in a bathroom? I am trying to get better at my builds. Also door to the laundry.

Here we have the changing table, and a cute little height chart for once Isaac can stand.

And of course finally Delilah will need an adult sized toilet. I'm not too sure how I'll fit the potty in here when we reach toddlerhood but we'll figure it out.

Another room we'll possibly never see but I wanted to do anyway.

And then we have Brandon's office- the door seen here leads to his bedroom.

Fancy pants papers on the wall. Locked briefcase on the desk.

He really only has the chess chairs for guests. He does most of his work on site at The Regent's attached casino so that's where he meets people normally.

Did I give him a wall art TV in his room so I can lock him in here when I don't need him for scenes? Guilty. Door pictured leads to bathroom.

But you know it's hardly squalor.

Now he has his own bathroom, and Jennifer has one that is basically just a copy of this so I'm only showing one.

Mirror for practicing speeches etc.

Here we have Jennifer's at home office which is one of my favourite places in the house!

Have I told you what her actual job is yet? Don't worry, it's going to be revealed in... four days? If I did math right. She normally works for an hour here in the morning, then travels in to work on site in The Regent for part of the afternoon.

I really love the clock I fitted in here, I'm a sucker for clocks.

And she has an arch between the office and the bedroom, the same kind as the one separating Delilah's room and Isaac's crib nook.

The door leads to her bathroom. I feel like the landscape picture says freedom to her.

I'm still working on pinning down Jennifer's style but she does love her elegant things despite her rebelling against the system.

Here is the second lounge/day nursery.

Cant have too many height charts right? Did I go overboard on wall stickers? Delilah doesn't think I did.

And here is Isaac's second cot, a soft play area on the floor and a rocking chair for naps!

Chris: Hey… Can we talk a minute?

Naya: Hum… Sure.

Kensia eyes them before she hurries to Celia, Shanna and Laura’s side.

Chris: I wanted to ask if you wanted to go to the dance together. 

Naya: Huh– like as a group?

Chris: Huh, no… like, as a date. Just you and me. Well, the others’ll probably be there, but…

Naya: Oh, huh, okay. I mean yeah.

Chris: Yeah?

Naya: Yeah!

Chris: Okay, cool! 

They both grin at each other.

Chris: I’ll see you in class. 

He joins his friends who head down the hallway. Naya turns to her friends with an excited grin. They celebrate with her in a quiet, huddled up dance. As Naya moves ahead with Kensia, Joana walks by with Nathan’s arm around her and her new group of friends in tow. She gives Celia a triumphant grin. Shanna and Laura disapprovingly watch her pass. Celia shudders. 

Laura: How can she go out with him after how he treated you? 

Shanna: This is low… betrayal level low.

Celia is frozen in place. Shanna and Laura gather around her.

Celia: [she closes her eyes and breathes out completely] I- I never told her what really happened with Nathan. 

Shanna: She doesn’t know!?

Celia shakes her head ashamed.

Laura: I thought you two told each other everything…

Celia: We’d just reconciled…  I knew she would either judge me or not believe me at all. I couldn’t face that. She accepted that we got in a fight because he was acting distant. I never had to tell her why that was… 

Shanna: He could try the same thing with her… We need to warn her.

Celia: She won’t believe it.

Laura: We have to at least try. It’s the right thing to do.

Celia: Shit… I think you’re right… As much as I’m upset with her, I can’t risk it.

Shanna: We can do this together if you want, okay?  

The bell rings. They hurry down the empty hallway.

Finn: I thought Windenburg Island was private property.

Avery: It is. The founder of Kasper Institute purchased it more than fifty years ago.

Finn: Aren’t you worried that I might try to escape?

Avery: It’s below zero out here. I consider you smart enough not to jump into the water.

Finn: I could steal your keycard and escape through the tunnel.

Avery: Hmm~ you could. But I don’t think you will.

Finn: That patient of yours… are they… are they alright?

Avery: You mean Dr. Miller’s patient? They’ll be fine. They weren’t following instructions closely, which resulted in some unexpected side effects.

Finn: Oh… okay. Will they… be kicked out of the study?

Avery: Hm? No. We’re grateful for everyone willing to help us test new medication. If anything, it’s a reminder to make sure participants are following instructions carefully.

Finn: … I see.

Avery: Why are you asking?

Finn: Oh… no particular reason. Just… making conversation, I guess.
