Aife resisted the urge to roll her eyes. It wasn’t fair to him, a month ago she probably would have laughed. “Well its still kinda messy, maybe when we get it all cleaned up.”

But now all she could do was wonder what Emilie was doing overseas (quick math adding hours told her Emilie was probably sleeping), who she was doing it with and why she hadn’t called or texted. They owed each other nothing, it was just drunken fun but before that they had gotten in the habit of text each other silly things through out the day. She was one of those people who it was easy to become fast friends with and now? Nothing.

Aife smiled and followed him inside.

Aife knocked on Kenton’s door knowing well what it meant to agree to their fourth date in his home. And it was something she thought she wanted but ever since the night with Emilie it seemed like that was all she could think about. Even when she’d been out with Kenton again she thought about the way his fingertips felt on her arm compared to Emilie’s, the was the stubble on his chin scratched hers, something she has previously found erotic now paled in comparison to Emilie’s delicate touch. Aife had dated both men and women in college but there was something about Emilie that just felt different than anyone else...
