I’m so curious. How has the pandemic affected you? How has it been where you live?

they constantly say  “a woman’s place is…” and the options where they try to place us are limitless:  in the kitchen in the house in the senate in the resistance  they either want to build us up or tear us down all while pushing us into places where they think we should be shoving us into boxes and rooms trying to make us into someone else and so they constantly try to tell us where “a woman’s place” is but what they don’t realize is that “a woman’s place” is anywhere she chooses to stand

“Don’t be discouraged when you see others doing well. Don’t begrudge your friend for getting that job you’ve been eyeing for a while. You are almost there. What the Almighty is giving you requires patience, focus and commitment! Your time will come when He  makes it happen!“

For everyone with social anxiety, this is a reminder that you don't have to be perfect in your interactions with others; you just have to be kind and that's literally it. That's all that's necessary of you. You don't need to say the perfect thing or anticipate what they would want you to say or even exude confidence if you can't.

If you are looking for a friend who is faultless, you will be friendless.

A name is precious; it carries inside it a language, a history, a set of traditions, a particular way of looking at the world. Losing it meant losing my ties to all those things too.
