S.M Designs

This design was inspired by natural elements and the blog itself, Fern by Feather. 

I incorporated imagery by using the fern (on the left) and feather (on the right) to make an emphasis of the blog’s name. 

The two letter ‘F’s’ are conjoined with a diagonally strike through, intriguingly if you were rotate it vertically it represents a dash. Together, they represent Fern by Feather.

Concisely, these components contribute to the simple yet minimal aesthetic of the design. 

I used Adobe Illustrator CS6 to digitally create this design. It took me quite a few drafts to finalize the design and respectively, meet the need and suitability of the blog.

Particularly, I would have thought I needed to use a graphics tablet however, alternatively, I used a mouse to design each and every component with careful detailing. 

I believe the final result paid off, making it my first official experience using Adobe Illustrator CS6 a true success.

Overall, I am truly happy with the final result and I believe I have more to offer with graphic designing.
