Content Warning I was hushed, I was told this is a family matter and we don't talk about it, I thought no one cared, I thought I was not supposed to take up space, I thought what I endured every child endured, until I became a mother. Then after a year of mother hood and my main abuser in prison I began to heal and remember. The very people that were supposed to be good, supposed to love me, protect me and stand up for me were the very ones that turned their backs, walked away and protected my abusers. I'm a childhood sexual abuse survivor, i had to fight to get to where I am because no one fought for me when I was a child. Then, my own children fought for me when I had reached my sickist, that was 3 years ago, now I'm a very different person, I've healed and figured out I'm a BADASS trauma survivor. I no longer long for anyone to fight for me, I'm able to do that, it took nearly 40 years, imagine if I had had that when I was little, if one person saw me when I was a kid and pulled me out of those fires. I wouldn't have been burned so bad. Watch out for our little ones as they don't have the voices, they aren't able to speak the way adults can. Some, like me, when the abuse has been bad enough can't speak out bc we developed amnesia to protect our little minds from the horrors of the night through a fragmented identity and only certain memories remained until those epic moments when our memories were regained.
