So Reyna starts to think about it and the feelings she tried to repress and hide for so many years come out. For example, the first line says : "You asked me for forgiveness and I rejected you." Eventually, in a lot of occasion after Puerto Rico (The Blood of Olympus) Hylla tried to talk with Reyna about that and make her understand that the person Reyna hated so much wasn't their real father. The loving dad who lived in order to see his daughter happy and the man Reyna never got to know. It's like after his death he tried to ask her for forgiveness indirectly in many occasions but Reyna wasn't ready yet so she pushed the thought away.

The parts in English are for Hylla. She's now a grown woman and with her age she started to realize things she couldn't see as a teenager scared older sister. She forgives him. She understands that that thing he became slowly wasn't her dad anymore. She moved on in many occasions, constantly changing and trying to adapt as soon as she could in order to forget, actually, not just to physically survive. But something inside her is stronger than everything. She still wants and she still does remind her dad as the man he was before Reyna and, as someone who knows war, she knows that what happened to him couldn't be stopped, or at least by his two really young children. So she slowly start to accept the feeling and learn to live with it. She lets the good memory prevail at times and tries to carry it on with Reyna as well, even if it's difficult. She argued many times with her sister about this. They have completely different visions but Hylla doesn't actually mind. She worked alone with herself to arrive at the conclusion that she wants to try, at least, to make the memory of him stay inside her; reminding of the rare but absolutely beautiful moments together. Sometimes she feels bad almost "invalidating" her sister's feelings, sometimes she thinks Reyna should just grow up. In a way or in another, he will always live in her heart.
