I have felt so many things not being a stereotypical fitness instructor. I often think I’m not good enough. I think I should have waited till I was more “fit.” I constantly compare myself to others. I feel like I’m going to become a meme if I’m at a restaurant eating a burger wearing an “instructor shirt” because that happened to Zumba instructor. I hesitate sometimes to even tell people I’m a fitness instructor.

But the beauty of fitness is that it doesn’t have a size. Moving your body and being active has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SIZE OF YOUR BODY. When you’re an instructor the students are there to get a workout. In @mixxedfit at least that means I as the instructor will be giving you 200%. I’m working harder then my class and that is my job. Every BODY that steps in a classroom are different. Just like me. Students don’t care about my size. Maybe some have/do but after class they will probably think differently about what an ideal teacher looks like.

If anything come to my class sometime (I currently don’t have a normal class) but please come to my class or go to a class from someone who doesn’t fit your mold. You’ll learn something from them and maybe learn something about yourself. ✌🏾️

One hour on the treadmill at 2.8 [I’ve been doing 2.5] and 25 minutes on weights! The Fitbit I have is sucking back. I think it is breaking. Buuuut I ordered the new Charge HR 2. Treat yo self!!!

Morgan wants to do a 5k in the spring buuuuut I don’t think that is feasible for me x.x

Disappointed in myself that I got so out of shape the last few months. Bigger than I’ve been in a few years I think - smaller than my start weight but bigger than I’m happy with. Not weighing myself cause I get obsessed but I just see it in the clothes that don’t fit anymore ugh. Now ive bought a bicycle to cycle to and from work (10 mins either way) and I’m going to the gym 2-3 days a week to start with (heavy weights plan leaving me in too much pain to go more than that in the meantime ha). There’s a fantastic cheap salad bar by work which I’ll prob get most days and breakfast is either wholegrain cereal or fruit. Dinner is whatever hot meal I cook (stews, soups, quinoa and veggies etc). I’m giving myself Friday as a cheat day every week to have a nice dinner with dessert. I really hope this will work!! Gotta trust the system now!
