Another long stare. It wasn’t unusual for the man to be rendered as such, but it was unusual for his silence to be caused by absolute, unbridled fury.

“- Seriously?” He could only get out. At first, anyway. Giving another glance behind him, seeing the fucking monster racing towards them did loosen his tongue significantly, though.

“Are you fucking SERIOUS?! Do I look like I can fight worth a fucking damn?!” He gestured at his skinny stature. “A fucking old man was able to easily hold a knife to my fucking throat!”

He doesn’t seem to care, or is indifferent to the other man struggles. Nikolai is funny like that though its no fault but his own, alas the BOW is still struggling to get to them, key word struggling as during the run Nikolai had been dropping obstsacles against the former human left and right, creating a field of trouble. 

“Not my problem.”

Because if he dies, he doesn’t get anything or lose anything.

Clint stared at Nikolai with clear disbelief as he kept running besides him. He would have felt offended if he hadn’t been absolutely terrified. Instead, he struggled to speak. God, thank fuck he’d spent so much of his time running, from the 8 fucking flights of stairs it took to get to his apartment to just running in general for his tendency of being late because he got too involved in what he was doing and forgot he had other things to do.

“I- It- What?!” he could only manage, but his expression said more than enough.

 “What. Its nothing serious, we just need something really solid to hit it. Then its down, easy right?”

He has the audacity to smile. 

 “Its nothing dangerous.”

Understatement when there was something like a bio weapon a few streets away chasing the both of them, alas its not like Nikolai is in the mood to deal with it when there is no money involved.

Three eyes stared at Nikolai, one living, two carved replicas. The false pair flickered out of sync, at least, the quick rattle about in the porcelain skull was a strange mimic of natural human blinking. Angie would have smirked if she had the tension in her tiny carved lips to do so.

“YES, Lady Donna did it ALL.” 

Angie was tucked tight against the woman’s breast like a tiny wooden shield. The Lord in question had been silent since the arrival of their strange guest and stood rigid as a fence post, back pressed flush against a dusty cabinet. She could have been mistaken for a statue if her obscuring veil didn’t flutter in time with her breath. Angie on the other hand snapped like a rabid dog.  

“YOU are in the PRESENCE of a LORD. WHERE are your MANNERS? You’re meant to BOW ya’ KNOW!!” 

 “The last time I saw a lord, Russia killed them all.” which technically is the truth, but who knows. Maybe his former homeland did the lord thing again, he’s not really up to date to places where he doesn’t go to anymore. Sergei is dead, and theres no point, no home or family or money to return to. 

 “The Duke sends his regards, and told me to bring you some extra materials , thats why I’m here and not one of the village boys. Its a big crate, Even some imported stuff.”

 His eyes were fixed on Angie.

He’s not sure if this is some good puppeteering or not. 

 “My mother, used to have quiet a collection of dolls when I grew up. It was... perhaps larger than this.” It was a quiet sentence, perhaps the house itself reminded him a bit too much of childhood memories. Of his mother always in bed, sickly and then not-

 The village is sick, sick in a biological way. 

 Thread carefully. 

 “Did you make, all of these?”

Nikolai knows, that he’s getting on with the years. Getting on with everything, but the wonders of being under Umbrella, even for a short amount of time is that you get the best health care if you survive the missions they give. Its not ideal, and there are easier ways. But those ways are boring and -

 “Man thing? That sounds rather unlady like. And if anything I learn from my mother, it was how to be a lady.”

Which is telling sentence for many reasons but anyways Nikolai is in a cautious moment because there is a sentient BOW of sorts and he’s not willing to go further then that. 

Umbrella had always spewed out the weirdest of men and women, and came out richer for it. This ...Wesker is no different, though as long as Nikolai is getting paid for the work he does under the cover of umbrella, he doesn’t really care much for anything else. 

 “You seem tense, relax. The experiment was a failure, yes. But it was put down.”

Wether that experiment was a bio weapon or not, it mattered not. Sure a few people died. but eh, money works.
