NOTE: I posted this clip from the encore of the Sweetheart Of The Rodeo earlier but as an enlarged image not showing all of stage. The Pete Seeger song “Turn, Turn, Turn” which The Byrds made famous was just one of the gems played tonight. They played all of Sweetheart and also songs which influenced the album along with Marty Stuart rockabilly and Bob Dylan and warm tribute songs to the late Tom Petty. -At the beautifully restored Emerson Colonial Theater in downtown Boston to see THE BYRDS, Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman, on the Sweetheart of the Rodeo, the seminal country-rock album which launched a 1000 Americana roots rock bands, fifty year celebration tour. The awesome Marty Stuart and The Fabulous Supleratives are performing with The Byrds. The show was great! The best rock, country, folk, rockabilly experience I’ve ever had-4sure. It made me homesick for Los Angeles as there was a whole lot of Laurel Canyon/Sunset Strip go’on in the audience. #sweetheartoftherodeo #thebyrds #music #countryrock #rockandroll #rockabilly #countrymusic #folkmusic #rootsmusic #thebyrds #sweetheartoftherodeo #martystuart (at Emerson Colonial Theatre) https://www.instagram.com/p/BoQR-bwAST0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1kfq7d5gzz00z
