Riku sighed while looking at the large glittering building that seemed to center the heart of Midgar. It’s towering stature shadowing the other buildings, asserting it’s dominance over the smog covered city. One would think him of all people would be used to such a place. A center that continues to show how great of a company they are, parading their importance to the general public. Slit pupil eyes glances over towards the movement of a generalized screen, his father’s image plastered all over the form. Genesis and Angeal along side the great General, showing that you too can become a grand help to the people of Midgar – join ShinRA. ❛ They just don’t quit do they? ❜ He says out-loud, knowing full well that any SOLDIER could have heard him, and earn him a look of suspicion.
Not wanting to cause any more trouble to his parents or family, the youth proceeds into the building. Once inside, he holds his ID card out for the sensor to scan, indicating that in fact he was suppose to be there. He knows this place well, far more than he’s willing to admit. Passing by the lounge area, and pass the odd stares he’s always gifted by other personnel. Riku makes his way towards the elevators and to the restricted floor of his father’s office. The trip up the elevator wasn’t a problem, but now he had to deal with the receptionist that often would ogle his father at every waking moment. Usually, he would be turned away, told to go home by her. Yet, he’s already called ahead, and in this point there’s nothing she could do about it.
A hint of smugness appears over his face as he lightly knocks on the door. He doesn’t wait for her to call in, or beep him in, for he’s already taking through the door. ❛ Father, I’ve arrived just as you’ve asked. . ❜ He says calmly, intense hearing letting him know the older male rustling with some form of papers, or something like it. CLICK! Goes the door as the male must have opened it on the other side, either that, or the receptionist didn’t want to get in trouble with the General. Either one, Riku slowly walks in, smiling the moment his eyes is laid on the older silver. His dearest father, Sephiroth.

Papers that laid neatly staked on a rich cherry oak table remained untouched as the General moved his gaze upon his son. He paused for a minute, listening to the ancient species within his head speak in tongues about something irrelevant. Gloved hands moved two fingers to indicate the child could enter further into his domain. ❝ Good-morning, Riku. . ❞ A newly formed smirk now appearing on his face, matching the once smug look the boy held on his own face only moments ago. ❝ I see you didn’t let Jessica scare you away this time. . ❞ He teased knowing full well that there were other reasons as to why the child couldn’t come to see him sooner. He was a smart man, and in such, knew that ShinRa forbid it. It was considered too dangerous for two aliens to be in the same place at the same time. Especially, when one such as himself was considered the most dangerous of them all.
Sephiroth slowly stood from where he worked and turned from the table to meet the other in the middle of his office. At first, he wanted to extend a hand for a shake but stopped himself. That was no way to treat the child he helped create, nor was it how he was suppose to react to him. He silently cursed his conditioning, his routine of meeting people and offering a handshake in good nature. Instead, the taller male only simply opened his arms wide. A gesture he’s done time and time again with the one he loved. It was something so simple, but it was one of the many things Cloud had been secretly teaching him over the years. The kindness of human expression and the act of showing humanly love. ❝ Forgive me. . things like this is odd to me. .but necessary I presume? ❞
