Hi! I hope I'm not bothering you or anything. Also I don't mean to offend by asking you this but I was just curious. Since you didn't include the usual "permission was granted by original artist," do the artists (the ones that you translated so far) allow repost?

Pretty much? My policy is I translate a thing and then send a message to the original artist letting them know I have translated it, along with a link to where I’ve posted it and an offer to take it down if they don’t like what I’ve done. Usually, the OA thinks it’s pretty cool that their work is reaching a whole new audience. Sometimes they just don’t respond to my message. So far, no one has told me to delete anything yet. I think it’s fair. :)

well i’ve never noticed about that i have received any message of asking permission for translating and posting my fan arts

i dont care whether my fan arts are translated without my permission if they make sure where those are from and who is the OA

still i would be rather pleased if i was given any word asking for permission

Oh my God. That’s kind of a complete crisis for me then, because you’re the person I have sent the most messages to by far. You’re one of my favorite artists for obvious reasons, and the idea that it seems like I just took it like a creep makes me feel horrible. I sent the messages through pixiv - which I admitted don’t know a lot about - so I’ll have to dig around in my settings or something to figure out what went wrong.

If you didn’t get them, then that could mean other artists also might not receive my messages. I guess that would explain why some people never answer…

I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I don’t want to take advantage of any of the OA’s I translate from. I should have been more diligent. I’m very, very sorry about this, and I’ll do whatever I can to try to ensure this doesn’t happen again in the future.

Also, I love your work so much.

i wonder if there was some kind of mistake in sending message. now i understood that you had sent me a message for permission. still i could not receieve any of those messages.

i dont mind whether my art work is translated then posted if the translator make sure who is the AO, and even i love to see the translated art works. i really enjoy it. i was just little upset for not receiving the message from you. now i knew there was mistake and this does not bother me anymore. i will apologize if i made you feel bad.
