(From Thranduil //also hello!!) â some doors are best left closed. â
"How unfortunate I can never let things go, then."
@swordoaths
no more cold and calculating i want warm and calculating. i want characters who use deductive reasoning to figure out whether their friend would like a wool or cotton quilt based off of their lifestyle, career, hobbies, and habits. i want "your nails are often chipped because you work for a law firm as a typist for this company which notoriously underbudgets their IT department, so ive bought you a keyboard cover that will not only prevent manicure damage but is also sensory friendly because I know you dislike certain clicking noises". i want characters who figure out their friends entire schedules and social battery levels just by examining who only use that info to know when the best time is to hang out with them. i want characters who create elaborate, supervillain level schemes just to get their hands on some collectible they know their best friend wants. most of all i want characters who do not use intelligence and reasoning skills as a reason to be cruel but as a means to be kind
â why is it whenever we see each other, youâre covered in blood? â
(@silvercrowned)
Her ears lowered as Celebrian spoke and a shy smile stretched upon her lips, the smaller being almost making herself even smaller before her. "Would it help if I said it isn't my blood," she lied, knowing well that it wasn't helpful.
@silvercrowned
CelebrĂan squinted and crossed her arms.
âThat doesnât answer my question.â
Sasha further lowered her ears and shrunk in on herself, blood still dripping down her sides. "...I was sleeping in my cat form outside and got picked up by an eagle..."
CelebrĂan rolled her eyes, although it was affectionate.
âAgain?â
(naganye)(marriage verse from Aradir) They think I'm lying, but I'm not
CelebrĂan gave Aradir a frown, rocking Elrohir to sleep.
âLying about what?â
She put her head on his shoulder.
âAt all. I canât even rock him to sleep - the wet nurse has him in the other room.â
Aradir reached up and stroked her hair gently.
"I hope he grows out of it soon," He had a small frown on his face, "When I cried too much as a toddler, Aicarmo would just ignore me until I stopped. I don't know if that's a good thing to do though,"
âNo, itâs not.â CelebrĂan sighed, but that did answer a lot of her questions about what was wrong with Aradir.
âElrohir and Elladan like me. I must be doing something wrong.â
"I don't think so," Aradir shook his head, "If two out of three don't have a problem with you, darling, I don't think that you are the issue," He kissed CelebrĂan on the forehead, "That's how it looks to me, anyway,"
âIâll go talk to a healer in the morning. Maybe theyâll have an idea.â She yawned, snuggling into Aradir.
"Yes," He replied, "Would you like me to come with you, darling?" He enjoyed moments like this, just with her.
âIf you want.â She sighed. âAerenezj is more like you, I think.â
Not like Elladan and Elrhir who were all her.

[ STILL ]: the sender places their hands on the visibly angry/upset receiver to try and restrain them.
(@silvercrowned - marriage verse maybe)
Aradir rarely got angry- at least, not outwardly angry. His people and his sons, should they need to be chastised, were rather met with crippling looks of disappointment. He was good at those. Yet sometimes something might happen which took Aradir beyond that- in this case, hearing news that not all his children had been playing nice with the others. There were accusations of unkind behaviour, though nobody seemed to know which son was at fault. Still, the very thought that Aradir's own blood might be acting this way was enough to send him into a small rage. A chair had already been knocked over and dark clouds descended over the city, full of rain. The poor servant who had come with the news had rushed to get CelebrĂan. Upon their return, Aradir was standing at the window, looking out. The expression on his face was not kind, though his wife's hand on his shoulder at least made him responsive.
"Do you know what happened?"
CelebrĂan dismissed the servant who brought her to Aradir with a nod.
She had long since stopped being afraid of Aradirâs moods, instead smiling to herself, or laughing outright. She did neither this time - her childrenâs behavior also concerned her.
CelebrĂan moved to stand in front of the window, cupping Aradirâs face to make him look down at her.
âYouâve frightened the chambermaid.â CelebrĂan gently chided. âAnd surely that chair did not deserve its fate?â
She nodded towards where the shattered remnants of a chair lay.
âNo, I donât. Iâve sent for the children - but it will be awhile before they return from Lothlorien.â
He could not stay angry for long, not with her gentle touch. Aradir closed his eyes for a few moments to enjoy it and the dark clouds started to slowly disperse.
"I am sorry," He sighed and then looked over at the chair. He hadn't even realised that it had broken- sometimes he did not know his own strength.
"I suspect that leaving early may also cause problems too," Some of their sons enjoyed visiting their grandparents more than others. Aerenezj often complained of living in the trees rather than on the ground, but only to Aradir. Of course, Aradir had mentioned this to CelebrĂan, but he just wasn't as graceful on his feet as Elladan and Elrohir were, "Do we even know which one, or ones, were involved?"
âI forgive you.â She kissed his nose. âYouâll apologize to the chambermaid as well?â
It was phrased as a request, and yet, it was a demand.
âWhy would it cause problems?â CelebrĂan frowned, dropping her hands. âIâd think Aerenezj would be pleased to be coming home.â
She thought it important for the boys to be exposed to different ideas and ways of life. Living in the trees was a departure from their normal life.
âNo. I donât think we will until the boys return.â
Aradir nodded.
"Of course, darling," Now that the rage had faded he felt a little bad for her. All she had been doing was delivering the news, "Yes, he will be, but I don't know if the other two will be happy to. They might argue about it," He sighed, "Well, there's nothing to be done yet then. All we can do is wait,"
âIt is not the end of the world if they argue.â The argued enough about silly things anyway - CelebrĂan was unconcerned.

âjust a friend, huh?â

"That's what I said," He retorted, eyes narrowing as he looked at her. He knew that tone. "Why do you ask?"
@silvercrowned
âHm? Oh, just confirming. I thought I might have misheard.â
"Oh please, you can hear gossip from miles away," Thranduil said with a smirk, shaking his head dismissively.
"I am allowed to have friends, you know, and we have been friends for a long while. That has never been secret."
âIâm not stopping you from having friends.â CelebrĂan grinned. âYou are awfully defensive about this.â
"I am not, you just know how to get on my nerves," Thranduil huffed, reaching across the table to pour himself another drink. He looked over to Celebrian's glass, topping it up.
âTurn arounds fair play,â she teased, remembering the incident with Haldir. âSo only youâre allowed to get on my nerves?â
