scott.
the joking sentence that left her mouth only allowed a SMALL amount of relaxation to flow through him. & as his eyes continued to watch her, it helped to be able to witness seeing her happy — if this is what you could call happy in her defense. “ death didn’t stand a CHANCE.” his tone was light & part of his statement was true. sure he was bound to run out of time & no longer cheat death. he had hopes to be able to see her again, he just wasn’t expecting THIS to be how they ran into each other again. “ somehow should’ve known this question was coming. as far as i know isaac & your dad left beacon hills that night once we were done talking to the police. i think it hit lydia the hardest, but she is doing good. learning more & more about being banshee. stiles is still VERY much himself.”
happiness floods her as scott talks about their friends; the idea that they’ve all managed to pick up the broken pieces & carry on making her feel PEACEFUL for the first time since waking up in new york ( which isn’t very long, but it still means something to her ). “ is she ?? good. i’m glad !! ” more than glad, really. she’s crazy excited to find her friend again & learn more about her abilities, but she’s rather content just talking to scott for the time being. her lack of memories doesn’t stop her from worrying about him, but he seems to be doing okay. he’s not CRYING or falling apart, which is helping her remain calm. as long as he’s fine, then she will be too. “ this is ... a lot to take in. i know we deal with a lot of weird things, but having a HUMAN return from the dead ?? it’s ... odd. definitely something new. --- but i’m happy you’re here, scott. makes the whole situation that much easier to deal with. ”
