Roar! One more canonical Loque'Nahak sculpture: cream-colored, with brown paws, a broader chest - and the canonical three toes on each paw πΎ
Handsculpted from polymer clay, painted with acrylic colors and coated with a protective matte lacquer.

Sculpting in process π
One of my old, abandoned armatures... By the time I decided to come back and finish it, I couldn't even remember what I had originally planned to make.
So I decided to let my imagination take over - and this curious little creature was born. Somewhere along the way, it also decided it wanted a pair of tiny wings. How could I possibly say no? π
While working on this dragon, I realized something was missing from its head. A big, fluffy mane? Nope. Horns? Didn't look right. What if I tried a translucent fin instead? π€
Obsessed with the details π

Usually, a character reveals itself to me little by little as I sculpt. But this creature remained a mystery almost until the very end.
Well... I suppose that suits its nature perfectly.
One day I decided it was finally time to finish a few forgotten wire armatures that had been sitting on my shelf for far too long. Let's see what I managed to turn some of them into! π
The quickest sculpting tutorial you'll ever see... because I skipped all the complicated bits π
I'm really not a fan of sculpting mechanical parts. Like... not at all. But just look at this handsome little guy! π©Ά
I definitely prefer working on fur and scales, yet somehow this little mechanical fellow came together surprisingly easily. The whole process felt much more fun than I expected, and I'm genuinely happy with how he turned out.
He looks ready for battle... but come on, he's still adorable, isn't he? π₯Ί
MetalMamemon the Digimon. Handmade from air-dry clay, painted with acrylics and finished with a protective matte varnish.

MetalMamemon the Digimon, one of the very few fully mechanical creatures I've ever sculpted.
Definitely not my usual style... but I absolutely love this little guy! Especially now that he's painted. I'll show you the finished sculpture tomorrow :3

Currently accepting arguments: is this a head or is it already a body? Because arms and legs are coming next, and I'm not sure where the line is π
These two monsters - Nargacuga and Tigrex - have such unique designs, and capturing their aggressive poses was a fun challenge! Which one is your favorite?
Nargacuga sculpture ended up measuring 27 Γ 27 Γ 19 cm (10.6 Γ 10.6 Γ 7.5 inches), while Tigrex came out at 34 Γ 18 Γ 8 cm (13.4 Γ 7.1 Γ 3.1 inches).
Together, these two weigh more than 1 kilogram (2.2 lbs)! Quite impressive for a pair of creatures made from clay. They may not be life-sized, but they definitely have some presence.
Nargacuga has always been one of my favorite Monster Hunter designs. Sleek, agile and just the right amount of intimidating - it looks like a true predator from every angle.
Recreating all those scales, wing membranes and distinctive features in clay took quite a while, but I loved every step of the process.
Handmade from polymer clay, painted with acrylics, and covered with a protective matte lacquer. One of a kind.
Dimensions: 27 Γ 27 Γ 19 cm (10.6 Γ 10.6 Γ 7.5 in).

Tigrex is pure brute force. Everything about its design feels powerful - from the massive head and jaws to the heavy limbs and imposing stance. This monster has so much character!
