The largest country of the region is Nesyania, with a population of [TBD] people, about 75% of them being native speakers of Nesyanian. Other ethnic groups include various Desanian peoples (mainly Kasewayans and Keranians), Tazulans and the Chilut people; their languages are recognised as minority languages or have a regionally official status. Nesyania is a federal republic divided into 10 states and 3 city-states, one of them being Tinkara (TinkarÄ), the capital. Shenrem is the state religion; it plays an important role both in the countryâs politics and the daily life of its people. The countryâs climate is subtropical and humid, but gets much drier and a bit colder in the northern and western parts towards the Zemaimayan mountains.
Through the Zemaimayan mountains the border between Nesyania and Kasewaya is marked. Kasewaya has over [TBD] inhabitants. Ethnic Kasewayans make up over 80% of the countryâs population, the rest being mainly other Desanians. The official language is Kasewayan and, in three southernmost provinces, Keranian. The country is named after the Kaseyu River which has played a key role in the history of the Desanian civilization. Most of the Kasewayan population are adherents of the Shenrem faith, however, a significant percentage follows traditional regional beliefs. Kasewaya is a republic divided into 11 provinces and its capital city is Hosaydot (HÉsaĂ˝dot). It maintains a close economic and cultural connection with neighboring Inwez, which was once a vassal state of the Kaseyu Kingdom. The climate of the region is continental; dry in the south, more humid in the north.
Both Nesyania and Kasewaya border Tazul to the west. It is a much smaller and less populated country â about [TBD] inhabitants â but has served as an important trade hub of the region since ancient times. The population is divided into two main ethnic groups, Southern Tazuro (Tezulaw) and Northern Tazuro (TazurĂĄ). Their languages are related and mutually intelligible to some extent. Regionally, Desanian languages are spoken. Over a half of the population adheres to Beyan, the native Tazulan polytheistic religion. Aquaculture and animal husbandry (cattle, camels) are the most important part of Tazulan culture and economy. The Republic of Tazul is divided into 4 district and 1 district-level city (ZĂĄnare, the capital, and surrounding settlements). The climate is warm and quite humid, getting much drier near the ocean coast.
Thatâs all for now. Sorry for all the â[TBD]â parts, determining that stuff to make it reasonable is much more difficult than one might think, hah. Anyway, I think itâs a good introduction to my conworld for now.
I will post something about the conlangs soon as well.
