Tales of the Middle Ages - Miracles Page Two
Tales of miracles involving the Host, or sacramental wafer used in Catholic services, were common in the Middle Ages. A story told in various forms in the 12th & 13th centuries involved a peasant who owned bees which were dying in great numbers. He was advised to place the Host among them, which would halt the disease and attract other bees to the hive. This was done, but then the bees, recognizing their Lord, built a little church of wax with an altar on which they laid the Host, and gathered around it making a wondrous melody. When the peasant discovered this, the bees stung him. A priest was called for and a miracle was declared. When all the parish had seen the marvel, the structure and the Host were carried to the church, the bees flying in ecstasy around it. In a variant of this tale, a peasant hid the Host in a tree and the same sort of marvelous manifestation happened. This church had tower and bells, with altar, chalice, and paten, and it was sent round the diocese, then to the Archbishop, the Emperor, and the Pope.

Is it neurodiversity or is it just the power of prophecy?
"Stories were his playground. They were his freedom....He read because stories gave him room to grow beyond the world he was given. They helped him feel as if all the lives he read about intertwined with his own, like threads in an ever-expanding rope. Stories made him strong."

god is a mother
and with that
sentence
the world stops
the world always stops
when woman and
divine
commingle
as if the
feminine
dilutes the
miraculous
when in reality
it embodies it
when jesus turns water
to wine
they clap
but when women turn breasts
to milk
they cringe
a broken manâs body
is celebrated each sunday
while a broken womanâs body
is just hidden away
and itâs no wonder
that mother is a word
used by men
to demonize those
who donât claim the name
and weaponized to shame
those who step out of line
because
their ideal
woman
plays the role of nurturer
and silencer
in pews
built and led by them
but
when god
becomes mother
she is neither quiet
or compliant
she leads confidently
she questions authority
she commands respect
which might be the problem
for mother god
did not gather us up
carelessly
but took her time with it
she fed us milk
birthed our souls
and broke her body
and the permanence
can be uncomfortable
and to disentangle god
from motherhood
is impossible
but
to disentangle god
from womanhood
is sinful
because seeing god as mother
is one step closer
to seeing god in me
and itâs in that
i am truly
born again

âMay the seed become a tree.
May the egg become a bird.
May the silence become singing.
May life be known as a miracle.
May strength overcome any obstacle.
May difficulty serve us to fly higher.
May every experience become a gift.
Let Art be medicine for every human.
Let Nature be the flag of every wise being.
May every sunrise be a celebration.
May all find their forgotten spirit.
May the earth become the dream.â

Your acts of kindness are iridescent wings of divine love, which linger and continue to uplift others long after your sharing. Rumi
âYou can recognize your true nature by tuning into your core being (as Infinite Consciousness). At the deepest level⌠you are not limited to a particular race, gender, tribe, culture, status, political affiliation or religion. Consciousness is not eastern, western, Christian, Hindu, Zen, New Age or any other religion/teachings.
Consciousness is the changeless, indivisible field of unfolding possibilities not bound to space, time, name or form. It is only our socially conditioned mind that unconsciously judges, compares, competes and separates each other. Reality stays beyond the reach of the mind because it is the very space in which the mind moves in.â
