I called my bank to put a travel notice on my account as well as order a new debit card so it won’t expire while I’m abroad. I swear calling any sort of representative is the worst part of being an adult. I’d like to go back to my sandbox days, please and thank you.

As for the more exciting part of the day, I got an email from Inha’s international center about being picked up by an airport shuttle and signing up for their buddy program. 

I don’t have to sign up for the shuttle since my older sister will be picking me up from the airport. Also, the shuttles are only offered by the university on the 24th and 25th of August (which seems a little late to me considering orientation is on the 26th, but whatever) and I’ll be getting to Korea on the 12th so it wouldn’t help me anyway, haha.

I am, however, super excited for the buddy program and went ahead and signed up for it. The program basically pairs each international student with a Korean student so that everyone will have someone to help them adjust to university life in Korea as well as a friend who’s native to the country. I’ve helped run a similar program here at my home university here in the states over the past two years, so I’m really excited to experience it as a visiting student rather than a “host” student!

Speaking of my home university, I’ll be heading there for a visit later this next week. Partially for nostalgia’s sake and partially to double check with my academic advisor and the registrar about my registration status for when I come back.
