“Do you still remember when you were little, like five or six years old and you would not question if you were good looking? You just didn’t even think about your appearance. You assumed you were beautiful. Certainly your parents didn’t tell you otherwise, and your grandparents reassured you of the fact. You could play all day in the dirt, and still feel pretty good about yourself. You wouldn’t spend much time staring at your reflection in the mirror, and when you did, you just made funny faces or thought: “Hey, that’s me!” You never considered there could be something wrong with your body, your eyes, your nose, your lips or the fact your hair never seemed to stand still. You could have been wearing a plastic bag and walk around full of confidence like you owned the place. We were indeed beautiful creatures then, because we were happy the way we were.
