This is really dependable on which person is across him, how the other is. But take in an example for this, that his boy/girlfriend is rather holding back and being shy. Then he will easily be bold and outgoing, take her to dinners. Maybe not the best places but good places. He would take a step first but eventually, he will slow down on that as he wants something for in return, a bit spontaneous from the other side. nothing sexual.
