Maehara held up the small printed photo with wonder as he walked up the stairs leading up to the mountain top.

"Then Nakamura wouldn't have to wrestle you into telling us," he recalled wryly.

Chiba, who now looked nothing like how he was in the photo with his long thick bangs currently keeping his eyes from being seen, scoffed lightly next to him. "Like hell am I showing you my previous photo. I retook that for a reason."

"Well, it's always been difficult to look good in passport photos, after all. Since they do have strict guidelines on how you should be taking them." Isogai, who walked a bit ahead of them, helpfully pointed out.

"As if you could relate, Mr. Photogenic!" Someone shouted nearby.

With a grin, Maehara turned to Chiba and held the photo in front of his face. "Can I have this?"

"Why?"

Chiba was frowning, but from his tone, Maehara guessed that he was also raising his eyebrows.

"I'm keeping it on my wallet. Like a lucky charm or something."

Chiba made a sound that neither confirmed a yes or a no, but it sounded indignant nonetheless.

"Fine. Whatever floats your boat, I guess." He sounded unsure and let out a sigh. "But if people ask, just say that Kaho bootlegged you a copy or something. I'd like to keep the whole band thing a secret until we finished the school year, please."

Maehara slung an arm around his shoulders with a wide grin. "Aww come on, dude. What do you take me for-?"

"A compulsive liar." Chiba cut in, unfiltered as ever.

"-Of course I can keep a secret!" He ignorantly continued, slipping the small printed photo into one of his pant pockets.

Chiba eyed him for a second and just shook his head.

"I'm not giving you another copy if you got that one wrinkled, by the way."

He then allowed a small amused smile make its way onto his face when he doesn't feel the weight around his shoulders anymore, followed by panicked whispers and frantic shuffling next to him.

He made sure to never bring this up to class, or else Nakamura (or god forbid Karma) might force him into also giving her a copy.
