After meeting that dude in the hat, Sao Ling had been insisting on he "make new friends" by talking to all the flavors of questionable people hiding in plain sight among the populace. He wasn't even sure how the System did it, but he had an intuition for picking the right (well, wrong) people.

So Wang Yi dutifully strolls to the front of the dude with purple hair, makes a short bow, and offers his hand.

'Hey there, got any spare time?'

'My cat really likes you so I'm here to ask for advice. How do you commit crimes?'

【Mreow!】 The angry hiss and scratch on his face from Sao Ling lounging on his shoulder is almost worth the trolling. Almost.

This was easier said than done. He needed people who were smart, but not smart enough to question or defy him. He also needed people who could obey orders and who were loyal, or who could be coerced and kept in like through fear and a heavy hand. Such requirements were hard to come by, for many in this city were craftier than they appeared.

The human who was approaching him was a good example.

"I suppose there is nothing but time in this place" he drawled, his tone heavy with sarcasm as he shot the young man a bored look.

"Committing crimes is often best done with people under your command. Far more efficient than doing things yourself." Unless your underlings messed things up royally, causing you to step in. "You simply give direction, and they follow to the letter. Why bother dirtying your own hand if there is little need to?"

The sinner paused for a moment, taking note of the cat and replaying the young man's words in his mind. To come up so boldly and ask such a question means this human sussed out that Shuren was far from a decent person.
