My head teacher told me we couldn't have my marionette puppet semester final hanged in our atelier because we don't have enough space and to do "whatever I want with it", and without a second thought I threw it in the trashbin. 12 hours later I keep thinking about what a dumb decision it was. Weeks and weeks of nonstop work and materials are wasted just because I wasn't satisfied with the result and got the worst grade in my class. My "nonchalant" attitude towards my art led to me losing so much art because I didn't think it'd be worth it to archive anything, and now I'm repeating the same self-destructive behavior. It doesn't impress anybody, it's the opposite, tons of people on instagram reached out asking why I did it, was it broken, etc. I'm sorry I failed you. Butterflies don't live for too long, but I wish you lived for longer than a week. You were in my mind throughout all semester and I will never forget you.
