Government: oh you know, just, all the gay stuff. everything LGBTQ+, everything queer, everything not 100% vanilla that doesn't promote the traditional values, and the sole existence of blood on screen and kissing and the representation of marginalized groups-

anti's: WHAT? no!

Government: uh?? i thought YOU were the ones who wanted to "bring back Hays Code" and not see any sex or "problematic" stuff on screen!

Chapter 1 Acompleces

AU where Morgan makes it to Rhodilite as intended instead of Benonite.

TW: post near death experience, implied abuse, things related to Obsidian (and me makeing it worse)

When Morgan woke up, they expected it to be the rough ground that they passed out on. Or whatever the afterlife was like. Not silk sheets, a soft and cozy blanket, and their head on a fluffy pellow. Unless this is the afterlife and he finally got to them.

They slowly sat up, trying to take in the room around them. But- that pain was still there, so there is no doubt. They were alive.

They carefuly look around the room again, it was a nice room, seemingly for guests. It was a bit differnt from what they were used to. More decorations definately. So atleast they were no longer in Obsidian.

That's one good thing.

Then two men walk into the room. Their mind raised so many red flags. Their body stiffened a bit at the sight of them both. A smileing man who wore purple and whites, with golden eyes of a predator, but a charming smile stood infont of them.

"Good morning! I was worried that you would never wake up again! But it seems it was all for naught as here you are" The man continued to smile at them, checking over their wounds to be sure that nothing was too bad. "I'm glad we were able to find you before worse came to worse. Do you mind telling us your name?"

"My... my name...?" Morgan's voice came out soft and weak. "It's... Morgan... Solace..." The name wasn't what they were born with, nor was it the one that they took on. It was a new one, for this new world, for this new them.

"Morgan Solace... alright! My name is Clavis Lelouche, I am sure you can recognize that name." Clavis' tone became a little more serious, "Can you tell me why an Obsidian soilder, like yourself, ran to my territory?"

Morgan choked on air for a second before catching their breath. "I am not a soilder. I am... was just a simple military spouse"

The man with red hair's face darkend, but he didn't speak up.

"I see..." Clavis didn't have any words to add to it. The deep purple bruises on their skin said more than what those in the room dare brought up.

"... There are others like me. We made a plan together to find different places we can escape to. I know you are a prince and you have the resources. Can you help me help them?" Morgan asked, their weak voice becomeing more determined.

"Well, that sounds like you wish to have me as your acomplice. That sounds perfect to me, we can be one another's acomplices!" Clavis' grin returns.

"M'lady- I-"

"Please- dont call me a lady- or any stuff around that. It feels... weird." Morgan asked the redhead softly before their voice becomeing determined once again "besides, I am okay with helping out Clavis for as long as he helps me, maybe longer if we work well enough together" they shrugged, accepting the agreement Clavis already decided on.

Clavis positively glows with excitement "I like them already!"

Cyran sighed, feeling like this wasn't likely to end well. But he admired how determined they both were. And how Morgan didn't need a prince to save them from Obsidian, they had themself and others like them.

Y'all... i have 15 chapters of this planned out... no ending ready tho unlike Within the Heart of Evil. Just a silly little AU where I go "what if their plan worked?" I have all the main stories needed for this read (for now atleast) unlike WHE

They get eyebags from this all and drink so much caffinated tea.

ao3 doesn't have an app because for it to have an app, appstore will have to approve it first. and if, hypothetically, ao3 needs appstore to approve it, it will also have to abide by appstore's pro-censorship stance and start banning dark and taboo fics, which is against its own core principle of being completely against censorship.

ao3 doesn't need an app. it works more than fine without an app. the reason ao3 can allow dark and taboo fics, the reason it can allow the most disgusting and shockingly vile fics, and be completely against censorship is because it doesn't need appstore's approval. it stands on its own as a non-profit organization with functioning site and a team of lawyers protecting its platform, its users, and every single fanwork on its platform.
