Pt. 2 Warlords and more of Sasuke’s shenanigans
Yori, Amaryllis, Ryuu, and Masahiro: @silkkorchid
Ellara and Tsumeko: my ocs
Shingen and Masahiro traverse through the forest.. They scout the area cautiously, searching for any signs of the others. Shingen pauses, turning to Masahiro.
“I think we’re fine for now. I haven't seen the others in a while, so they must all be fighting now.”
Masahiro nods, surveying the land.
“I agree. We should probably head back now if that’s the case. It would be bad if our group got ambushed while we were away.”
“Right. Let’s go. Gah…. That Kanetsugu… he really ran off to look for Kenshin. It wouldn’t hurt to help his group out instead.”
Shingen sighs, shaking his head with Kanetsugu’s quick absence.
Just as they were about to walk away, muffled sniffling could be heard from the distance. Curious, both Masahiro and Shingen walked towards the sound, holding their weapons just in case. As they got closer, they realized it was Tsumeko on the ground, weeping softly. She hears their footsteps, looking up with tears in her eyes as she wipes them away with her finger.
“Ah? Have you two come to take my flag? I won’t play anymore, I surrender...”
The two men widened their eyes, taking in the scene before them. Shingen quickly lets go of his sword hilt, stepping closer.
“And why is goddess such as yourself all alone here crying? Your tears are far too precious to be wasted here.”
He comes closer, kneeling down as he lifts her chin up, stroking her tears with his thumb.
“I…. I tripped over a root and hurt my ankle. Nobunaga had left me here after realizing just how useless I would prove to be.”
Masahiro lets out a soft gasp. That didn’t sound like his lord to so easily abandon an ally, but this woman’s tears were falling quite heavily and she did seem to really be hurt.
“That bastard… how could he leave such a beautiful woman here defenseless? That demon knows nothing about the treasure in his possession. Let me carry you and I’ll happily escort you to a safer place.”
Shingen reaches a hand out for Tsumeko to take as he wipes her tears again with his thumb.
“Shingen, wait just a moment-“
Masahiro tried to intervene, but it was too late…. Just before taking his hand, Tsumeko quickly reached up and took his flag swiftly from his arm. Shingen blinked, unsure of what was happening.
“Well done, Tsumeko. You’ve proved yourself to be a valuable weapon. Though I recall you saying earlier you refused to participate.”
“I never said that. I said I wouldn’t be fighting. I do like to win too, you know.”
Shingen stands up, glaring at Nobunaga. Kicho and Yoshimoto stand beside him.
“How despicable! You’ve turned this woman into your pawn, you demon. Though I’m not surprised, this is a new low, even for you, demon..”
Yoshimoto chuckles, holding his fan up to his chin.
“Sorry Shingen, it’s not personal. Though I have to admit, this was quite a fun experience of us being on opposing sides.”
“Even my own family has aided in my betrayal…”
“Enough talk. We still need to take care of him.”
He points to Masahiro, who had jumped into a defensive positon upon everyone’s gaze turned to him.
“Shingen-you-” He lets out an exasperated sigh, “Now I have to take care of this myself.”

Meanwhile, Saizo and Ranmaru had led Motonari and Mitsuhide further away from the rest of their group, making it easier to concentrate and fight. Ranmaru had looked over his shoulder, ducking just in time to avoid a flying bullet that would have hit him.
“Eek!” Saizo lets out a yelp, darting to the side as he turns around.
“HEY! Sasuke said there’s no killing! I’m sooo telling on you after this!”
Mitsuhide smirks, lowering his rifle. “My hand slipped with this pursuit. Forgive me, Ranmaru.” Something told Ranmaru that he didn’t feel sorry at all. Motonari grins, taking out his pistol.
“‘Sides, where’s the fun if there ain’t a little blood?”
“Um… it would be quite bad if anyone gets seriously injured in this game.” Saizo spoke up hesitantly trying to defend Ranmaru.
“Huh? The hell are you?” Motonari’s grin faded upon turning his attention to Saizo, raising an eyebrow questionably, making Saizo flinch.
“N-nobody! Sorry, I should have just let the bullet hit me instead.”
“Saizo, quit talking like that!” Ranmaru shouts, letting out a sharp sigh before turning his attention back to the opposing two. “Anyways, there’s no way I’m losing this! Saizo, let’s do our best okay?”
“...I’ll try not to disappoint you”
Saizo lunges forward, throwing his chain towards Motonari, who barely dodged the sudden attack. Motonari’s eyes widen, taking aim at Saizo as he runs to the side, shooting at Saizo as in return Saizo swiftly avoids the bullets.
Ranmaru charges at Mitsuhide, swinging down his katana as Mitsuhide blocks it quickly with his rifle.
“What ambition you have Ranmaru. I wonder, what drives you so passionately today?”
“Hm? It’s because…” Ranmaru jumps back, throwing a shuriken that Mitsuhide shoots down to deflect it. “I want to prove myself to Amaryllis just how strong and capable I am!”
“Oh?” Mitsuhide grins, Ranmaru quickly jumps just in time to avoid another bullet as he lands behind Mitsuhide, reaching for the flag around his arm.
“Amaryllis talks about you often during our sessions”
“Ah-” Ranmaru pauses just before grabbing Mitsuhide’s flag, his eyes widening as he speaks urgently. “What? What does she say about me? Tell me Lord Mitsuhide, please!” He shouts, desperate to hear the information Mitsuhide could provide.
“Let’s see… She says…” Ranmaru’s desperation is just what Mitsuhide needs as he reaches for Ranmaru’s flag, waving it in the air with a sly grin as he teases poor Ranmaru, whose mouth was agape at the sudden betrayal. “How valuable my student is even when not currently present. Quite bold of you to assume I’d reveal anything she discusses privately with me.”
“Wha- hey, that’s totally not fair! You can’t use Amaryllis against me!”
“Deceit was never against the rules. If I recall correctly, the only rule was we can’t kill each other.”
Ranmaru mumbles, sulking as he looks at the flag in Mitsuhide’s hand. “I’ll have to prove myself to Ama some other time then…”
Gunshots echo through the forest, causing both to turn and observe the battle between Motonari and Saizo still ongoing. It seems like a complicated and close battle of pirate vs ninja, one that Sasuke likely would have found enjoyment in this particular fight. Motonari seemed quite thrilled about it, while Saizo looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there.
“I suppose we should take our leave, lest we want to caught in the middle of their battle.”
Ranmaru nods, reluctant to go as he slouches slightly while they both leaving behind the two.

The battle between Parents vs the Babies group…
Hideyoshi and Kennyo defend themselves against Amaryllis, Ieyasu and Mitsunari. They stand back-to-back, covering each other from incoming attacks.
“Although it’s strange allying with an enemy of the Oda, it’s good we’re saving that for later.”
“I agree. However, I’ll be back to dealing with the Devil King soon after this concludes.”
Hideyoshi blocks attacks from Ieyasu and Amaryllis, as Kennyo fends off Mitsunari. The trio has them surrounded, attempting to use their overwhelming force to win.
“Amaryllis, now!” Ieyasu shouts.
“Eh?” Hideyoshi is quick to notice Amaryllis reach up from down below, moving his shoulder just in time to avoid her. “That was close… It’s hard to see you sometimes.” Hideyoshi deflects an attack from Ieyasu. While his attention was taken away, he had no idea that Amaryllis was still up in the air, crashing down as she thrusts her feet against Hideyoshi’s back which causes him to fall roughly on the ground.Amaryllis remains on top of him, giving Ieyasu the chance to secure the flag from him.
Ieyasu nods. “Got it. Good job Amaryllis, though Hideyoshi might be in pain for a while…”
“Ngh…” Hideyoshi winces, cocking his head to look up from the ground with a weak smile. “Good job… daughter…” (He dies)
Amaryllis looks down at him with an apologetic smile. “Sorry, I’ll make sure to give you some medicine for that.”
Kennyo looks back, observing the scene as his eyes widen. The sweet young girl he took in all those years ago had now startled him upon viewing that borderline deadly assault upon the man who became her father.
“When did she learn how to do that?”
Soon, he realized he was alone as his only ally nearby was eliminated. He pushes Mitsunari back, turning to make a run for it in the thick forest.
“I got it!” Amaryllis jumps off Hideyoshi, rushing after Kennyo,
“Oh?” Mitsunari and Ieyasu felt their hair lift from the small breeze Amaryllis caused by running by, to quick to even get a word in.
As Amaryllis chased Kennyo, she had a perfect opening to attack him from above as there was no trees or bush that blocked her. She leapt, preparing her attack but something stopped her. She looked at his back, and then his clothing. Something about Kennyo had caused her mind to scold her to stop, and she did just that. She landed down on the soil with a soft thud as she watched him disappear in the thick bush, leaving her alone with her thoughts.
“I’ll just tell them I hurt my foot using that kick….”

Masamune and Ellara both fell into the lake bellow, causing the water to create waves as the soil under them also fell below them. Masamune pokes his head out of the water, coughing lightly.
“Ellara, you there?!" He calls out. Ellara breaks through the water right after, inhaling the air as she moves her wet bangs away from her eyes.
“You sure?” Masamune swims towards her with relief. They didn’t land far apart from each other, but he wanted to make sure that she wasn’t hurt.
“Yeah. Wasn’t the worst thing to happen, at least we fell in water instead of on the ground. Unlike earlier…” She mumbled that last part.
Masamune chuckles, his wet bangs sticking to his face. “Good. Because that means I won’t be hurting you worse.”
“What?” Ellara’s face twists in confusion for a moment before Masamune holds up her flag, grinning proudly. She looks at her arm where the flag should be, only to find it missing “What the- when- how- Masamune!” She snaps her head back to him.
“Took it when we were falling. Didn’t think it’d work, but I managed to snag it right before we hit the water”
Ellara lets out a long groan of disappointment, leaning her head back with a frown. “Man, I really wanted to stay in the game longer…”
“Sorry, kitten. Don’t be so disappointed, now you can cheer me on from the side. Doesn’t that sound like fun?” He leans in to kiss beside her eyebrow. Ellara smiles, disappointed that she’s eliminated but still accepts his affection. “Besides, I’ll give you a nice reward later for letting me win.”
