Because I’m suddenly thinking about this fic again I’m pondering putting out my ideas I’ve had for it and throwing it out there before it’s out into the story. Probably a bad idea because it ruins the surprise but I’m so passionate about these concepts that I feel like it’d be a shame to not have them online.

I think shugo chara middle school definitely deserves to be written because I love the characters so much and want to spend more time with them and it’s also so personal and fulfilling to have written my self-insert OC into the story, it’s still such a big undertaking to write the story. I have ideas but I still don’t have a completely put together plot (as you could see when I first started writing it) which is difficult, and not to mention it’s hard navigating not having fully realised character arcs for a cast of over ten characters, especially when most of their arcs were completed in the original story. I feel what I’ve written still deserves a rewrite but that’s also so much work. I put far too many words into I; I wrote something longer than a novel and the story is only half done.

Terminology: The Decayed

The Decayed are the product of when Darkness mixed together with humans.

They have a rotting appearance, their skin often green and peeling off.

Inactive Decayed are those who have only had their Heart’s Egg imbued with Darkness. They remain motionless and unresponsive. Meanwhile, their Heart’s Egg turns into a Dark X-egg, and can use Dark Energy.

Active Decayed are those who have had their Heart’s Eggs imbued with Darkness, and then forced back into them. This makes it possible for them to use Dark Energy, and be manipulated by whoever was responsible for their creation.

Terminology: Ogres

They are beings made entirely of X-Energy, thus, they are able to control it as well. They take the shape of a giant with brutish arms, a large torso, and small head. Their cries are agonizing to listen to.

Countless amounts of negative emotion are forged together to create even one of these beings. Once enough negative emotion is gathered, it is condensed and concentrated into tiny spheres. Summoning an ogre from these spheres requires them to be broken - this is so the X-Energy can leak out, and form the ogre.

Posting on this on here helps me feel like I’m in control of my pursuits. It’s fun to brainstorm and be productive with my ideas when I don’t have the energy to write.

So far, this blog has been self-aware, and I like it like that. I don’t want my story to be remembered as an abandoned fic, so I want to keep it in the present, otherwise I’d feel like I failed what I original set out to do. For now, this blog also exists as a way to keep this story alive as I slowly crawl to its completion.

For the newest chapter, I don’t know if I want to end it on a cliffhanger and wrap it up in the next one, or just write all of it in the one chapter. Like 20 might be really short, but I don’t want 19 to be long...
