Loved - A SRMTHFG mini comic

A mini comic I felt inspired to do thanks to the Holy Shuggazine discord group. Even though he is the main character of the show, Chiro is one of the least explored characters. We know less about him than the monkey team he is part of!

Oh well, at least there is plenty of space for us to interpret him as we want. :D

it had to be eggman.

smoke was rare, but the speedster assumed that something had gone wrong with the doctor's new invention or something. it wouldn't have been the first time, though having it explode before he or his friends got there was new. it was maybe the only reason he decided to go alone, just to see what was up. if there was no real threat, there was no point in dragging everyone else there.

getting close to the source was almost too easy, given the area around was littered with bits of metal and other things the speedster couldn't make out. it was even stuck in some of the trees, which was enough to hold his interest. it had to be some explosion for that to happen...

he had been staring at one such incident when he got an odd feeling down his spine, that feeling of being watched. turning towards the source, he paused when his eyes caught a figure there, standing and staring. not a robot, and...

IT SEEMS THE FEELING IN HIS GUT PREVAILED, for as he anticipated, a silhouette did emerge from the treeline. It was small and blue, and his bandaged hands, shoes and bandana spoke of obvious sapience. Luckily, one thing Chiro was skilled at was making a good first impression. One thing he could immediately infer from the blue hedgehog was that there was someone else around this area who had a penchant for causing trouble, perhaps with actual intent.

"Yeah, the explosion was us." But he doesn't pause for a beat to let Sonic draw his conclusions. "Our Super Robot crashed near here, and my team and I are looking for scattered pieces." He feels like he should apologize; they weren't here on purpose, and their appearance had been pure misfortune on their part. If not for the fact that the Super Robot was in need of repairs, his team would have gathered themselves up, dusted themselves off, and returned to space to their actual destination.

i'm gonna steal it.

who wants to go down the creepy tunnel inside the tomb first?

It wasn't surprising that Otto noticed that Chiro had been keeping himself vigilant lately, especially with everything that had happened to bring their arch nemesis back.

For the same reason it feels all too weird to want to relax. That was some big change coming from Chiro, who prioritized his free-time a lot about two years ago. It shows how he's grown and changed as a leader and a protector . . . but it also means he was starting to forget what it was to have fun.
