Meticulously Made Milk Tea [Mizuno]
Mizuno simply tilted his head lightly. Well, if he had to confess anything, heād say he donāt understand why Himemiya seemed to expect him to react angry at her while they both knew he not only wasnāt the type to mind much, but they also knew she wouldnāt change her mind. So why bother? ā⦠Itās only polite, I supposeā He said in an absent-minded manner. He grew up to be polite at all times, anyways.
Himemiya was right, though. Feelings were troublesome, and that might be why Mizuno hardly dealt with them at all. Although, if asked, he probably wouldnāt be conscious of that.
He accepted with a bob of his own, sparing a quick āThank youā, before trying it. It wasnāt bad, not at all. Perhaps he could get tea tips from Himemiya as well as fashion ones.
"Thatās good. The less people in the bad side, the better, really." He commented, thinking back on the trials and how the mood seemed to sink after them. While perfectly understandable⦠It wasnāt good. Not if they wanted to not let the bear get the best of them. "I took a particular liking to the nail parlour, although I suppose that isnāt much of a surprise."
'Only polite he supposed' ... well, that was probably true but fake pleasantries had never sat well with her. That's one of the main reasons she'd gotten along so poorly with her female classmates all that time ago. It was always impossible for her to join in with their useless conversations and lies. Too tiresome to keep up with who they should be mad at this time. No, honesty was best. Still this was Mizuno and she doubted he even meant it. He struck her more as some rich or traditional kid drilled so hard on manners he didn't even realize how polite he was being half the time.
She surveyed him as he drank as if to gauge how much he liked it. Honestly it was probably a stupid idea really - not only were faces a no-go for her but Mizuno in particular was not too expressive - not even his body language.
"Of course." she agreed in cordial fashion. It was only natural for the mood to go down, only natural for people to grieve. But she supposed she had never been all that natural herself. "I would be careful assuming everyone who says they're alright is alright though! Just because I'm honest doesn't mean everyone else is...!" Himemiya added, her tone kinder than the words spoken. It was a warning spoken like a mild concern. She thought back to Yasu once more. He had quite the poker face. Who knew who else did?
Her head perked up at those words and she found herself nodding. Ah yes, the nail parlour... that did suit him didn't it. "As you say, Mizuno-kun. Hardly a surprise." she gives a light shrug. "Again, we share that in common though I suppose. At least this way I can re-do my nails." she flashed them in his direction, black nails. They'd always been black but the first few days had chipped a lot of it away.
"It's almost confounding how much we share in common, you know."
