I stopped playing obey me like a year ago and I still feel guilty about it since I still have the apps and the notifications on 😭
But I literally cannot find the motivation to play since before I used to really be into the story n events but now whenever I read them I kind of cringe AND I FEEL AWFUL BRO 😭😭
I’ve kind of decided to only play whenever it’s mammons bday since he’s my first man 🙏 BUT YEAH I TOTALLY GET THE F2P THING it sucks ass to not get the card you want esp when you grind ur ass off for it
yeah!!! that's kinda how i felt about obey me in 2023 when i had to bounce from everything– like i feel to some degree it's still playable for F2P users, but in my personal experience, more often i'd always find myself missing out on things cuz you'd need this to get that, but this is mostly behind a paywall, and the free way to get em is thru a ton of missions, which requires leveling up cards, which then leads to me not having enough upgrade items, then leading to having to farm for items, and then having lesson points behind a paywall once i run out so i have to wait for the free refills, etc
it's that shameless boost of satisfaction that i'd want to feel, even if it's for a game and it's a brief temporary hooray— it felt like a very ego-centered need i'd be chasing when playing twst and this mental route of "grrrr >:(" i took felt all too familiar (w/ obey me): getting stressed for no reason wanting wanting to have the same gameplay experience as most people in the fandom, instead of just enjoying the game in my own way, which is why i had to stop playing twst (for my own sanity too haha)

i know this is a twst blog LMAO!!! but i think the thing that i still love about obey me is that some of the characters still mean a lot to me— like the evolution in my art that i had years ago thanks to me drawing obey me every day/night, the vivid adventure dreams i'd have, the creative influx of inspiration........ brah.....
mammon, satan, thirteen, beelzebub...... they've made a huge impact on me, both mentally and in an art sense 🥹
UHHH but yeah– TL;DR: quickest way for me aka shroudbud aka loafbud to drop out of any gacha game: be jobless and feel F2P item farming fatigue! /hj
Update on my twst-related blogs (this, @/shroudbud, and @/vinyldraconia):
As of late, I admittedly haven't really been as invested in twst like i used to over a year ago. </3 There's only like....... two characters I care about LOL
But other than that, I think I'll delete this blog. I'll still leave my respective Idia and Malleus blogs up since they're the said two characters that I only care about in this game
This is kinda similar to what I do with obey me now: while I no longer play the game, I do have a small ounce of attachment to some of the characters, so I still may draw fanart of them here and there.
And I stopped playing it + left the twst fandom also for the same reason I did for obey me: as a free-to-play user, I've lost enjoyment in the game itself. Like...... the main story I'm not as invested in (I already see screenshot spoilers anyways LOL), gacha feature I have absolute zero luck in, and I guess everything else (battles, lessons, etc) just feels mundane to me. EMPHASIS ON "TO ME" THOUGH.... this is just how the game makes me feel as of now.
That's all I wanted to say. I understand if this upsets anyone that mainly followed me for my twst stuff ;; I'll most likely just leave this blog up for a month or two before purging it. As as mentioned before, my shroudbud and vinyldraconia blogs will remain up!

i aint realized the 3rd anni for twst en was today (i think if's today LOL)
i dont have anything to draw for it since i gotta look for a usb cable replacement around dah house for my drawing tablet
BUT YEAH UHHHH basically how i got into twisted wonderland in 2021 (yapping ahead):
in december 2020, on twitter i kept seeing drawings of this tall pale guy with blue lips and long blue fire hair and im like "he looks so cool....... i dont know his personality, but i like him already, he looks like a bug i could crush"
..... but then THIS card got revealed???? (someone tweeting about it) dude
something in me switched when seeing that, like idk it was like my brain chemicals started dancing or smth— i said "OK I NEED TO KNOW WHO THIS GUY IS", so the next time i saw him in a tweet, i just googled in what i assumed was his name: "idia ignihyde" ??????

thats when i saw the twst wiki for the first time and learning he was "idia shroud" and that he was from the game that is now a part of my life + also learning that he is a twisted version of hades from hercules, aka one of my fav villains, aka the movie based on my fav mythology, aka the movie i still need to watch gahaha
plus i also had realized that the above card i saw was actually his 2nd bday card, which was only a few days away when i learned who idia was
and also when i learned about twst, it was unknowingly when the en version was releasing the following month so i had to get it when it dropped!
when going thru that beginning part where u gotta pic a dorm and a character from it, im surprised that i ended up picking malleus (the diasomnia music drew me in and i was like "ooo wait this malleus guy looks cool too???") this is an idia blog but im also an ABSOLUTE LOSER for malleus too, i even made a malleus blog too just for that LOL!!!
BUT YEAH THATS ALL I WANTED TO SAY!! happy 3rd anniversary twst en even tho im absolute ass at the mirror summons, at the end of the day im here for the main + event stories & the characters!
