The peaks of Oetztal in Austria provide perfect refuge for all winter sport aficionados. Amongst these ski resorts is the highest church village of Austria. Due to this privileged altitude there is snow guarantee from november until may. All that makes the place a magnet for climbers and freeskiers - those, who enjoy not just the way down ;) Hansjörg Auer is a member of this club, while photographer Woodslave was there to capture amazing moments like this!

High up in the mountains mountaineers find their paradise. All day long you can experience nature on your skis or in your snow-shoes. When the winter is over and spring time comes, when powder snow turns into corn snow and the glaring sun is reflected in the glaciers it is the best time for ski mountaineering. Hansjörg Auer is not a textbook professional alpinist as you may have imagined. He climbed his first summit of a 3000m peak by fair means in 1990 - at the age of 6. He knows how it feels to wear climbing shoes since 1996. Started his carreer as a professional climber in 2008, when he quit teaching kids at secondary school - that’s right, Hansjorg is a certified teacher for Mathematics and Sports. That’s him conquering Otztal in Austria. Our friend photographer Woodslave folowed him all the way to the top, so stay tuned for the rest of the story of their adventure!

Wadi Rum - or The Valley of the Moon - is a a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock in Jordan. One of the country's landmark locations, the valley has been used as a background setting for many Hollywood blockbusters. Its deselt-like landscapes created a perfect illusion of Martian wastelands in the 'Red Planet'. Wadi Rum also made an appearence in Prometheus and one of the Transformers movies. The valley has also become a Top destination for climbers and trekkers. Slopes of the Wadi Rum can be very deceptive and deadly dangerous. The problem is the quality of the rock, which is very friable and often tends to crack at the least friction. Undoubtedly this can be tricky and life-threatening especially when you are using bolts or abseils already in place. While this is something that would normally stop the general public from taking on a mountain, it's the Wadi Rum dangers that lure #thrill addicts - like #climbers Hansjoerg Auer and Kilian Fischhuber sponsored by Red Bull.
