Here are a few pictures from my last project/first welding job. I essentially built a workshop for students to practice in. I built 12 tables, 26 panels, 5 aluminum ventilation boxes, and assembled 85-90% of the workshop. The tables were MIG welded, the table tops and assembly were welded with SMAW (6010 & 6011), and the ventilation boxes were TIG welded.
(via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBkzBTyL7FY) When i worked in Hyannis, MA i would go skateboarding at an indoor skatepark called The Fun Box. I didn’t go nearly as much as i should have but whatever. Here is an ugly B/S flip i did over the hip of this pyramid.
Captain's Blog: 6 YEARS!
So either today or yesterday was the 6 year anniversary of me being a fisherman full-time. 6 years is a long time to me. How many people hold onto jobs for 6 years?! A lot can happen in that amount of time and a lot has changed. I am obviously a different person than i was when i started. Hopefully, i am a much much better person. There is a lot to reflect on because much goes into being a fisherman. You have a boat to maintain and keep safe, you have fishing gear you need to check almost daily, there are continuously changing laws and regulation that you have to keep up with, and most importantly, you need to take care of yourself. If you fail to address all of those things you could lose money, lose your permits, and you could lose your life. I've spread myself pretty thin for the last 6 years. That is the thought that sticks out the most. That i burnt the candle at both ends and held it together alright. i've driven over 150,000 miles, played a bunch of shows, recorded a record that no one will hear, road tripped the west coast and traveled to different parts of north america, got into a car accident, lost some loved ones, met the love of my life, and almost bit the dust a handful of times. I definitely hit some walls here and there. It isn't a cake walk to juggle all of these things. Good friends know that for sure! It's hard. It's hard to keep in touch with everyone you love when you have to be everywhere all at once. I do my best. I send postcards, write messages, randomly call, and sometimes show up out of nowhere. That's the way it's been and how it has to be. Don't be a stranger. It's my day off and i don't really feel like spending it behind a computer screen. Be well. -sebastian
My old man at the helm. There is so much gear aboard but all this man needs is a compass and a loran.

Super bad ass engine in a BMW.
Sometimes I drive around Cape Cod and listen to music when i get off work. I'll just put on my sunglasses, listen to some summer jams, and maybe jam on a cigarette. In the spring i found this car show and it was awesome! There were a lot of cool cars there but this yellow bel-air was my favorite. Hello dream car.
This is either the Sagamore bridge or the Bourne bridge. Either way, it's a bridge.
I saw Choke Up play at The Hive in Gloucester a few weeks back. They have a bunch of new songs that are very awesome. I dusted off my camera to document this musical greatness. I took a million pictures and the one that came out the best is this one of me messing with Sam. That dude is the best. I can't wait to hear the new recordings.

Portland, Oregon is amazing.
A grainy picture from over a year ago. The Boyfriends at TT the bears.
My Lady Goldie. Short for Goldie Hawn. My mechanical mistress. She is a dear DEAR friend to so many. I love my car. Not in the "this car is super nice" way but in the "i've been through a lot with this car" kind of way. We've survived hurricanes, blizzards, white outs, black ice, and even cops busting a show. It's brought gear to numerous places, been to different countries, and survived an accident without a scratch!
I'm not going to lie, she has broke down on me a few times. The funny thing is, it always elegantly broke down in a semi convenient place. The time it broke down at the practice space was hilarious. I borrowed random tools from friends around the city. It took all day and now there is a weird clicking sound in the front end but it works!
You can find the back seat littered with clothes, broken skateboards, pieces of rope, pieces of chain, a white board, ply wood, cameras, fishing nets, dress shoes, and empty chip bags. It's a very strange assortment of crap but my life is in that car.
WE WILL RIDE UNTIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF!
