I'M NOT CRAZY.

         his immediate response is to back away. in his head, he sees himself run out the door, never looking back. leaving with his tail between his legs seemed a lot better than the shame of FACING her. the overwhelming, heavy ball of b a d, building in the pit of his stomach. truth be told, death seemed pretty appealing when he compared it to this.          ❛     what are you doing here ?     ❜         it’s asked, accusingly. like any of this is her fault when really, he was the only one to blame. it’d always been his fault. his fault that their mom left, his fault when their dad had hit them, his fault that their dad had died and that everything, s l o w l y but surely, had turned to shit. the fact that she’s looking at him like that, with those eyes that reminded him so much of their brother, didn’t help. not one bit. 

                                       I’M YOUR BROTHER.

                   so, this was his fault. that didn’t come as much of a surprise to him---that he’d get the blame. that’s how it always was. most of the time, he deserved it. arms, as always, hanging a w k w a r d l y by his sides. his voice low, on the verge of breaking, when he speaks up again.      ❛      i never said that i wouldn’t be your brother anymore, alright ? that was you, seth. how the hell was i supposed to know that you were gonna turn to this, huh ? i mean, pardon me for thinking you were better than that.       ❜       he pauses, lips pressing into a thin line. this had never been his forte; feelings. understanding them.       ❛      you know where kate is ?     ❜       

             ❛     what the hell is that?      ❜       stepping closer, he reaches forward to wrap his hand, tightly, around his brother’s wrist. blue eyes glue to the needle marks on seth’s skin, thick brows furrowing in disbelief--confusion.       ❛      i leave you alone for what, a few weeks, and you start doing drugs?      ❜    

           another nod. she answered his question, he doesn’t need to reply. for a moment, the gaze behind thick glas, settles on the snake. his tongue swipes across his teeth, and the hidden fangs. aimlessly, he’ll continue to wander around. contemplating, trying to decide if he should ask what he needs to ask, or leave. leaving would be safer, but he's desperate. on his heels, he turns to face her. approaches, slowly, and as always he walks, slightly hunched over. terrible posture. he never learned.      ❛     i need to find someone.      ❜
