I SAW A POST BADMOUTHING KISE
so i’m here to rant good things about my boy because i’m mad and salty.
Kise is the most loyal one out of the Generation of MIracles. He tries to keep in contact with them even after their falling out. Maybe not so much Akashi, but that’s fair. Akashi definitely puts out the vibes that he doesn’t want any interaction with the rest of them unless absolutely necessary.
Kise loves his friends so much. As evident by how he reacts when Kuroko rejects his offer to play for Kaijo with him, and when he calls Midorima to get the rolly pencil for his finals and how excited he is to talk with him. Sure he’s kind of a jerk to people at first, but honestly i don’t trust people at first either so i’m guarded too.
He is definitely the most manageable of the Generation of Miracles and Kaijo was lucky to get him. He’s a bit cocky at first, but Kasamatsu puts him in his place as a first year right away.
HE!!! LOVES!!! HIS!!!! TEAM!!!!!!!!!! SO!!!!! MUCH!!!!!!! DO ANY OF THE OTHER MIRACLES ACTUALLY SAY THAT THEY LOVE THEIR TEAMS???? NO!!!!!!!
Kise’s observation skills are through the roof and even if it is called “Perfect Copy” he’s not copying the Generation of Miracles exactly. He makes his own adjustments to adapt to how he can use their moves. (And Riko points this out.)
All of the Kaijo team members trust and believe in Kise so much. EVEN THE COACH!!!!!! He literally said, in the game against Touou, that he would still choose Kise if he had a choice between him and Aomine. And Hayakawa knew that Kise had been running on their days off. And Moriyama said that he believed in Kise and always had. Kaijo 10000/10 school, would recommend.
Kise works his ass off to get better. Yes, when he was in Teiko he slacked off after they started winning (they didn’t show this in the anime which i’m kinda mad about) and he got bored with basketball again, so he started modeling instead of going to practice. But after he goes to Kaijo and loses against Aomine again, he literally works so hard that his injury doesn’t heal properly. An idiot move, and not even admirable, but it does show his dedication to wanting to win with his team.
Kise’s basketball prowess is noted as the best MULTIPLE TIMES by MULTIPLE CHARACTERS in canon. Kiyoshi said it when they were seeing Perfect Copy for the first time, Riko said it during Last Game when Kise was in the Zone.
