Precision Without Sentimentality

The most annoying thing about me is that even after all these years, I will catch myself checking out some beered up idiot at a show and wondering whether or not I could get him to sleep with me.

Yesterday, after dinner at Superior Pho, Chad suggested we drive around for awhile before going home. Criss-crossing through a mishmash of residential and industrial blocks in Hough, St. Clair-Superior, and Glenville pockmarked by collapsing houses and vacant parcels. We stumbled on a massive fallen tree on a one-way street bordering an old factory. Spray-painted along the length of its trunk: BEHOLD, I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK

Chad made me watch the Gil Mantera’s Party Dream documentary last night and it was incredibly surreal to realize that seeing the men of Gil Mantera get naked onstage accounts for almost all of the male nudity I experienced outside of my long term relationships

Slowly but surely responding to my unread texts, “Sorry it took me so long to respond to this, my partner and I have spent the last three months navigating the incredibly traumatic decline and eventual death of his mother. Now that it’s finally spring, I’d love to see you!”

Trying to read a Big Buzzy Novel and it’s doing Nothing for me. Honestly, it’s my mistake
