Probably.
Lunch time was never difficult for the shifter to decide. His stomach was adjusted to just about anything, considering the fact he needed to eat more than the regular person. Eating so many of the leftovers from his job was creating a craving for something else. Luckily there was a pizza place nearby; cheap, delicious, and within walking distance. Not that he had another way to go aside from his bike or his skateboard.
Heading towards Stromboli’s Pizzeria, the blond pushes the glass door open, causing the bell hanging above to chime in greeting. The restaurant was as busy as usual, people filling up the tables while others stood near the counter. There was a blond guy with piercings behind the cash register. A smile sprouted across his face at the notice of the customer.
”Hey, can I have a large cheesy bites pizza with pepperoni? And for a drink, uh… a Sierra Mist.” Once his order was placed, Sora pulled out his wallet and slipped a twenty dollar bill between his fingers onto the counter.
Ϟ | At this point, he knew all eyes were on him. He couldn't possibly mess this up, it was just a simple order. Nodding, he looks down at the cash register and its array of coloured buttons, brow furrowing in concentration. He selects buttons fairly quickly, large pizza + 1 topping + special + soda, before glancing up at the screen for the total. $15.60, that seemed about right to the teen. Slipping the register open, he puts the customer's twenty in its tray before palming two $2 coins and four 10¢ coins and reaching out to hand it back to the male.
Just as his hand makes contact with the other's, he feels a shock of electricity run through his arm and he knows it's too late to retract his arm. This had been happening more frequently lately, and it was a major pain in the teen's backside, and surely in the customer's whole appendage now. Hands flying up in defense, he mouths sorry about three times until he believes he understands him. Not having his phone on hand to type out an apology was not working in his favor, but he decides to play it off as a typical static shock. Judging by his reaction, it couldn't have been much stronger than that. Thankfully.
Collecting the male's soda from the refrigerator behind him, he sets it down on the counter with a slight frown. It took one harsh bite of the inside of his cheek for the male to remember the pad of notepaper under the counter, quickly taking it out to scribble a message he could not normally convey.
'Sorry, piercings conduct easily. Also, be about 10-15 minute wait for pizza.'
”Hmm..” Her gaze shifts to look forward, palms clenching her knees as she ponders how inconsiderate it would be of her to stay after witnessing such an obviously feigned smile. “I’ll worry no matter what you say, but if you’re sure..” She sighs, raising her hands to her face and rubbing at her eyes, pulling her head away from him.
”No, no. This is stupid. I don’t wanna sit here and sulk about things. And I’m not letting you do that either.”
Ϟ | What were they going to do if not sit on his steps and sulk about it? The smile draining from his lips, he consciously removes his arm from around her shoulders and leans forward on his thighs. It was one thing to talk about it, but actually doing something.. that was completely different. Sighing deeply, the male anxiously taps his heel on the step below them, silently wishing he could turn off his emotions and not care about their reappearance.
'What can we do? Mug them in an alley? That's always fun.'

There was a fairly large thunder storm last month, with gorgeous streaks of lightning in the sky, and he laid on the floor under the skylight in his living room and watched it for almost two hours. Just, watching and listening to his music mingled in with the claps of thunder and rainfall. It was a nice way to de stress.

Lyle sleeps in a king sized bed that’s tucked into the farthest corner of his room, away from the door. He sleeps on his side, facing the wall, normally with one arm tucked under his pillow. It’s not rare for him to wake up with a dead arm in the morning, nor at almost 11 in the afternoon.

After the accident, he was home schooled for the rest of his 7th grade year. About 2 months into his recovery, he returned to the school to see his classmates and friends. His mother came along to answer questions and explain to his classmates what muteness was, and how it was going to affect him. It was extremely hard for him to hold back his tears and smile, as he was depressed and in no physical shape to come back to school anytime soon.
