crowned-virtue:
Are you sure you should be bragging about being cocky?
"If the King of Utanthia says so, I suppose that must be true," he coughed, clearing his throat, then looking into the device laid down on the table before him.Â
Feelings of disgust and pity grew within Carlosâ chest as he looked into the tablet, knowing the demon boy had reported his own father into royalty. The king simply hadnât a forgiving heart for those who do not feel empathy towards their own children. Unable to look into the image any longer, Carlos pushed it away slightly with his fingertips, looking into the opposite corner of his eye.
âWhat a disgraceâŚ" he shook his head. It was a mission that could end up to stake the balance of all three realms. Carlos couldnât afford to let emotions affect him in this stage into the plan. "I suggest we survey the area in person first. If it really is their main base of operations, it would not change that it is still- if not more, dangerous to approach head on. However I do not wish for there to be more possible sacrifices by sending the others."
Zephyr noticed how affected Carlos seemed to become because of the information he was given, and the demon was about to retort with something sarcastic, but was cut off when the angelic king decided to change the subject back to the task at hand.
"Too many of my men were sent into all areas never to be seen again." He nodded. "No more sacrifices, I agree. We'll have to go in quietly, though I doubt your angelic scent won't tip them off..."
