1 subject, as “rain world” functions as a descriptor. According to a brief search, “tip” as in advice was originally slang…several hundred years ago. Thus, it slides. Rain World’s world is probably not referred to as such in-universe, which means “rain world” would have to refer to something else. This name is technically valid (at least in my book), but has awful texture when pairing “rain world” and “tips”. Also, it’s..not the kind of thing that would be an iterator name. 2/10
-The Grand Authority on Such Things
(This one is in a slightly different reblog chain, if anyone’s looking for it.) This is invalid for several reasons: firstly, it starts with “the”, which is unprecedented in canonical examples in addition to being a defining characteristic of slugcat titles/names. Secondly, it is 6 words long, which is 2 more than the longest to our knowledge (Looks to the Moon). Thirdly, it has two subjects: “Authority” and “Things”. Finally, “such” is rather informal for an iterator name (as is things, but I wouldn’t count that) (this on its own doesn’t invalidate the name but it’s worth mentioning). “Grand Authority” on its own would make a decent iterator name though (if a VERY pompous one). 0/10
-The Friends We Made Along the Way
Again, starts with “the” and is 7 words long. There’s definitely two (maybe three?) subjects here, though I’m not entirely sure what they are? “Friends” and “Way” I think. Also, it directly references the bearer (“we”), which is without precedent. Invalid, although “Along the Way” would be a pretty decent iterator name as well. 0/10
